While MM's films are very slanted and not completely correct, you can at least tell that he has some intelligence. Palin is a complete fucking moron.

I think Sarah Palin is extremely ignorant, dishonest, ill-motivated and dangerous for our society, for a few things, but I think it's very possible this was an innocent misspeaking.

You get to talking 'North' attacked 'South', North this South that, and it's easy to say 'North' when you mean 'South'.

I have not and am appalled at the idea of looking at more of her speeches to see whether she got it right other times, but that would pretty much confirm the issue.

She's been in the limelight by her own choosing for what, over two years now, and in that period of time she has acquired a track record which speaks to her lack of knowledge on world issues. Whether she misspoke or not, this incident is adding fuel to her notoriety as a ditz. Her tendencies have become apparent through well-documented repetition.

If the guy interviewing her didn't correct her in mid-speech, it seems likely she would have kept repeating the gaff. Ergo, it wouldn't have been so much as an isolated brain fart on her part. Instead, it'd be more like her being afflicted with chronic cranial gas, which is better than having an absolute vacuum up there, I guess.
