I am swearing off newegg and never recommending them to anyone ever again. This is BS, I didn't go for the "deal" but this is one of the most underhanded things they have ever done. Bye bye Newegg, you just lost a loyal customer.

I just checked my box and it seems like the correct Monitor ...I then compared my CC and my receipt ...and that seems to match... I guess Im good then ....My fedex tracking number said it was going to be delivered tomorrow ...and It actually got here a day early pppphhheeewww....

They should reword their email to say, "Unfortunately, due to an error beyond our control, there is a possibility we screwed up and shipped you a monitor priced too low."

I think they messed up and whomever is responsible for the screwup is trying to cover their tracks.

They didn't say they made a price mistake. They said they don't have any in stock.
I am not bitter about not getting it but

1. They give you wrong answers.
2. They would not give you credit back immediately even after calling it back.

This is not about the monitor. If they made a price mistake, it took them 5 days to realize. No this is not a price mistake. This was one day price. They run regularly such promotions. They goofed up and wouldn't admit it and would say "NO STOCK" and still selling it.

A Romi Castro from Newegg was the one who ordered the recall of all packages in transit. When I asked him why, he said it was indeed a price mistake. To me, it just seemed like Newegg was going back to their roots that made them so popular...taking a hot item, and offering it at a very hot price for a short time. I guess not.

dunno about sending it back... if they got it in transit and had it shipped back, that would suck but would be fair game. If I was already in possession of it...there is no way i would ever send it back.

there comes a time when we all have to take responsibility for our mistakes. I am sure that this little error has cost them quite a few customers... having it recalled in transit. But once it arrived at the customer's door... it is unreasonable for them to even hope they should get it back.
 
im using my LCD monitor right now. no way in hell im sending this back b/c it means i have to go back to using a 17" CRT with a pink tint.

thats seriously messed up what newegg is doing right now.

Wouldn't matter if they did or not. You can find 99.9% of everything they have for the same price(or slightly better) at a combination of Chiefvalue, ZipZoomFly, Monarch, Mwave, and the like.
