So i built a new ryzen based PC with specs as follows.

Ryzen 1200
Asrock b350 pro4
Zotac GTX 1060 3GB AMP
Zion 8GB DDR4 Ram
Seagate 2TB HDD
Corsair VS550

It boots up and works fine unitl i oc the cpu. I tried various combinations like 3.8ghz 1.32v and 1.33v, 3.7ghz 1.3v but the pc won't start after any oc. I clear cmos and then it starts.

Then i tried using ryzen master, oc'd to 3.8 ghz at 1.32v, ran 20 intel burn test. Also used cinebench r15 and prime95, system never restarted and temps never exceeded 66 degrees. So i thought all was fine and started playing some overwatch and it restarted after an hour.

The lights were on all fans spinning but no display on monitor. Then i pulled out the power cable inserted it again and turned it on but the display still won't show anything until ipress the restart button.

Can anybody help me troubleshoot this issue?

Yeah, Ryzen OC can be tricky. Disable "Global C-States". Set freq to 3800. Set vcore to 1.3625V. Set vDIMM to 1.350V.

Have you updated to the newest UEFI?

By UEFI do you mean BIOS, if it is, then I'm on the latest version. Won't 1.36v be overkill? It's just a 1200

The voltage / freq curve has nothing to do, per se, with the number of cores, but the process used to make the chip. If anything, the 1200 CPUs are binned a bit worse, so they will need MORE volts, not less, just because they are only 4C/4T.

I highly recommend my settings, they worked for two 1200 CPUs out of the box. Assuming that it is then stable, then you can start trimming voltage off (downwards).

Make sure your SOC voltage is not below 1.1. It often defaults to 0.9 and that's why ryzen crashes.
