Views aren't the problem. I'm in favor of prosecuting Americans for taking Russian money, having known Russian government contacts and using their positions to benefit the Russian government. That's undeclared foreign agent territory, should be dealt with in a manner serving national security.

If you're just a racist loudmouth who doesn't take part in plots to destroy democracy then you've got nothing to worry about. It's the cooperation with an adversary that is the problem.

Worse, it's accepting money from terrorists. How would we feel about our congressmen and women taking donations from the Taliban? Or maybe our diplomats from Saudi Arabia?

As long as they are not in office it is legal; not worse or better than hunter biden. HOWEVER one could investigate their dealings while in office and that would be a different matter.

The Kremlin is free to miscalculate for the umpteenth time.

Senate is eyeing a bill with 50B in drawdown authority, 25B in USAI, and another 10B in FMS financing. This would easily sustain Ukraine into 2025 or longer when Euro support is considered.

I'm sure Putin is hoping for a Trump presidency to get things to ease up but hope is not a strategy.

Russia’s strategy to win the war in Ukraine is to outlast the West.
But how does Vladimir Putin plan to do that?
American officials said they are convinced that Mr. Putin intends to try to end U.S. and European support for Ukraine by using his spy agencies to push propaganda supporting pro-Russian political parties and by stoking conspiracy theories with new technologies.
The Russia disinformation aims to increase support for candidates opposing Ukraine aid with the ultimate goal of stopping international military assistance to Kyiv.
Russia has been frustrated that the United States and Europe have largely remained united on continued military and economic support for Ukraine, American officials said.

Europe is probably the more logical partner for financial support and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

That said we should arm Ukraine way way above what we have already and enable them to force an end to the war through victory.
