Makes sense. Some of the initial units were brought in all the way from eastern districts. I seriously wonder what's left in reserve that would even be remotely mission capable.

Conservatives have a real bug up their ass about the ICC. Thus, we don't participate to make it a real functioning thing. Something about sovereignty.

Yeah, not getting into politics of it. Point being that there won't be any near term consequences. That type of action is always gonna be after the fact. And most will never make it that far. Fog of war and all ...

I've been watching DW's coverage and think it was pretty good. The reports are sure to mention things they verified versus things that they have only heard.
Many Russian troops being sent to hospitals in Belarus per WSJ.
“They came in a hurry. There were about 10” ambulances, said a woman working a fruit and vegetable stand across the street from the station. “I didn’t see much because they cordoned everything off. But they were unloading people for about two hours,” she said, adding that the train then departed.
“There has been a constant flow,” Dr. Davydova said by phone from Poland. Local doctors, she said, have reported that three hospitals in the city of Gomel had all switched fully to taking in wounded soldiers. “All planned operations have been canceled,” she said.
“I saw seven soldiers right in front of me out of the elevator. All Russian. One was in a wheelchair, the other had his head bandaged,” said a man leaving the hospital. “My doctor said they’ve closed off the whole surgical wing.”

With what companies, what equipment, and what personnel? So many companies went bankrupt when oil went into negative price per barrel in 2020, their employees left, and there is no new oil equipment available at any price.
