No, we agree. Russia will be in no position go beyond Ukraine. Even holding onto Ukraine will give them all they can handle. If they try to go into Poland or even beyond Ukraine, say Moldova, they will get hammered. The World will view that as a major escalation that will then lead to a more regional involvement that will only be thwarted by nuclear means by the Russians.

Quite possible. We have to remember Putin doesn't care about human suffering, also has the benefit of his new "National Guard" that answers directly to his friend and former bodyguard Victor Zolotov, who answers only to Putin. He's well situated to put down any coups attempts or uprisings.

I don't see him changing course or leaving office willingly. It's either Russian patriots take a hit for the team and remove him, somehow, or we spend the next 5-10 years watching his sanity decline and waiting for him to die of natural causes. And dealing with everything else that implies.

Edit: Wait, I see now. You thought I was disputing things I wasn't because I referred to brandonbull as Bullshit. So that's my bad, you're new and probably wouldn't be familiar with that poster's long history of earning that slightly abbreviated designation. As you may have guessed by now, I am no MAGAt.

Edit: heck, there’s 2 US C17’s in transit back from the Poland/Ukraine border back to Western Europe this minute, and a third arriving just now into Europe direct from the US. And a 4th RAF C17 heading in now to the border. And that’s just the highly visible US/UK movements.

Three things have held back Russia from rolling over Ukraine so far:

1. Bumbling incompetence and low morale of Russian army.
2. Fighting spirit of Ukrainian people.
3. All the weapons and ammunition they can carry have been pouring into the country by the truck/planeload since this all started.

I think most people are aware of the massive amount of supplies being shipped. Maybe they're trying to keep even the amount going in a secret.

I'm betting Georgia, Chechnya and Ukraine will have some interesting things to say, together, in the coming decades. Russia's claimed territory is going to eat Russia in 10-20 years.

Originally opinion in Germany ran strongly against military aid to Ukraine pre-invasion. It has since done a u-turn and peeled out in the other direction. I think upwards of 80% support arms shipments now.

Young Lady made it to UK today.


Newest project funding a food truck from Poznan that has gone to feed refugees at the border. Our local (Polish) community will fund this, or they will have to deal with my wife.

Why are there talks going on when Russia is still shelling Ukraine?

It's insane. Stop talking to Russia until they cease fire. The reality is Putin isn't going to stop. He's too far gone, and has too much at stake now.

Hopefully I'm wrong.
