I guess it was OK for MJF to do that ad for Specter in '04 then, since Rush didn't complain about it then?? Or is he a hypocrite that only complains when he helps out a democrat?? Just to preempt any deflections, the symptoms looked exactly the same in both ads.

Short-term memory FTW

You forgot: the fact that he is a racist, as evidenced by his assertion that Blacks are incapable of playing QB in Football, his playing of "Movin' on Up" while denigrating Carol Moseley Braun on his show when she was in the Senate, among other things.

bottom line, he is a target ONLY because he made himself one. can't take it? stay the hell out of politics.

So it's fair for the opposstion to critizise him, but it's not fair for him to critizise the opposition?

Got ya.

again, this has nothing to do with MJF doing an ad, it has to do with what MJF said in the ad. MJF didn't spout untruths in the specter ad.

short term memory, indeed.

I love the way different sides try to interpret a candidate's reasons for voting on a bill. Like the whole Kerry debacle in 04: It doesn't matter that supporting an egregious bill that provides no benefit for soldiers, and only benefits the contractors and the Admin's energy pals who are profiting massively from the war, is a detriment to soldiers. He voted against it-- therefore he hates soldiers. Nevermind that he proposed a bill that offers access to more armor and better pay for soldiers. The Repubs tossed it out; b/c the hawks know what soldiers need. Don't bother asking a decorated veteran.

Nvm that a vote against funding adult stem cells and limiting the ability to perform actually useful research (ES cells) is productive. Apparently it is a vote against stem cells. And apparently, it is the only way to define a congressman's beliefs. I wonder what the world looks like from you neo-con fundies' perspectives. Are the two colors that you see the world in really as advantageous as they say? What experience do you have sitting in the halls of congress, scrutinizing the ridiculous riders and tax cuts that others like to tack onto bills just before they go into a vote? What exactly are your qualifications for interpreting federal bills? (Apparently, it's good enough to pull out the sections of a bill that are salient only to your warped reality)

I just watched this ad, what did he say that was untrue? I really didn't notice any real facts that he presented that could be disputed. Unless saying that the Republican candidate was against stem cell research is a lie. Please point it out.

Not sure if this has been posted, but here's the full text of Limbaugh's initial on-air comments:

Now, this is Michael J. Fox. He's got Parkinson's disease. And in this commercial, he is exaggerating the effects of the disease. He is moving all around and shaking. And it's purely an act. This is the only time I have ever seen Michael J. Fox portray any of the symptoms of the disease he has. I know he's got it and he's raising money for it, but when I've seen him in public, I've never seen him betray any of the symptoms. But this commercial, he?he's just all over the place. He can barely control himself. He can control himself enough to stay in the frame of the picture, and he can control himself enough to keep his eyes right on the lens, the teleprompter. But his head and shoulders are moving all over the place, and he is acting like his disease is deteriorating because Jim Talent opposes research that would help him, Michael J. Fox, get cured.

ProfJohn and Pabster, you guys are complete and utter tools.

Spoken from the first tool in the drawer...

Parkinson's sufferers have good and bad days, some days they are as solid as rocks and others as shaky as a twig in a gale force wind. It doesn't matter how many meds they are on. Furthermore, many shows edit out MJF's "bad times" to make it appear better.

Don't tell me about Parkinson's, son. I have 2 family members who suffer from it.

You guys will stoop to any level to try and besmirch people. I have personally seen Parkinson's sufferers in my life and it ain't pretty. You guys need to get a clue.

See above.

I also have been a fan of MJF. I totally agree with pabster as well as ProfJohn. It`s too bad more people don`t see this for what it really is!! :(

We do, a viscious attack by an overweight drug addled hypocrite and the shameless support he receives from partisan assholes on the Fringe Right. It's all good though, it's having the opposite effect the Lunatic Fringe on the Right were hoping for.

And yet the idiots only complain when the ad is for a democrat. Not one peep for the Arlen Specter ad in '04. They've all proven that they're nothing but hypocrites.

They can't get it into their heads that someone would actually support an issue, not simply a political party.

And they hate the people who do what they don't understand.

That is a very interesting coincidence... Republicans like him think they are above the law.. so I would not put anything past him

Not his Viagra but it was really his Viagra.

"Limbaugh's doctor had prescribed the Viagra, but it was "labeled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh for privacy purposes," Roy Black, Limbaugh's attorney, said in a statement. "

And the Rush attacks begin ... diversion, obfuscation, diversion, obfuscation ...

I expect nothing less when the tools have been pulled out of the drawers.
