Well, they have to talk about something since you and you're cohorts won't address the hypocrisy of bashing MJF for this, but not for the Specter ad. There have been lots of posts asking for that, yet no responses.

Cry me a river. Rush (and you, and ProfJohn, and innumerable other conservatives with an axe to grind) have come out with both barrels against a man with a crippling, terminal illness, simply because his sentiments aren't yours. Rush is a complete blustering hypocrite, and is in no position to be casting stones at anyone for what he claims are lapses in integrity.

It's sad how shameless and blackhearted the post-Rush/Rove iteration of the Republican party has become. Karl Rove and his late protege Lee Atwater, in particular, have taken away much of the common decency that used to serve as a backstop in political discourse.

Well,

From what I have heard Rush is somewhat backing down and apologizing for what he has said about Fox--------basically that great bean counter in the sky--Karl Rove,
is finally noting that while Rush does appeal to his 10 million ditto heads, already firmly in the GOP camp, and the more Rush talks about Fox and how idiotic the democrats are on Iraq,
the more people sitting on the fence are pushed into the democratic camp----so now the official Republican talking line for the coming week will be---don't talk about Fox---and above all don't talk about Iraq.---and when Rush does---its time for the men from the GOP--in their little white suits-- to confront Rush---an put a muzzle on him---and make him get with the
official talking points program.

So remember all you sheeple---out of sight--out of mind.---get your Rose colored glasses here---and then pretend its all not really happening. Think happy thoughts. Ignore that twitching man with Parkinson's---ignore the fact that this is the deadliest month in Iraq--ignore that national debt.

Limbaugh's a wannabe comedian with no sense of humor and terrible timing. Your defense of him makes you even lower on the evolutionary scale than cockroaches like him.

Looks like you'll both be waiting for that apology at least until the second or third time hell freezes over. While you're waiting, please sit on your thumb and twirl for us.

Its Karl Rove that is going to be selling the tin foil hats through Rush on the EIB network---but first they have to retain control of both houses of congress in the upcoming election.

And if any think that Fox does some twitching when he is off his meds---can watch old Karl Rove twitch if the dems get the house and the senate--or even one branch.

And then maybe we can see the truth come out on who really outed Valarie Plume---and a pile of other crimes---and then we may get the real treat---a twitching Karl Rove frog marching out of the white house.---but its likely to be a parade of them by then--with the white house resembling a ghost town.

By then I will be in the market for whoopee whistles---mere tin foil hats won't cut it.

Rush was still going on about it today, saying he's being unfairly attacked. He must be on drugs or something. Oh wait.

you looney fruit loop libs keep spouting the same hangdog left-wing extremist propogandist tripe, hoping against hope that someone with an IQ lower than 50 will believe it. This is the third time that you've stated the exact same blunder, which has been repeatedly shot down, and will, once again, be shot down.

once again, MJF did not spout untruths or misleading implications in the Specter ad in 04. Therefore, there is no reason to hold him accountable for his words regarding the ad in 04.

Libs see MJF as a man with Parkinson's, therefore they believe whatever comes from his mouth is the gospel truth. Just because you have a disease doesn't mean you're not capable of promulgating misstatements.

MJF at least has an excuse. It's not too far fetched of an idea that he thought he was saying the right thing, as he was most likely given cue cards to read when he arrived to record the commercial. It's a simple error on his part.

What's worse is the leftist response to the MJF bungled words, proclaiming them as if they were handed down from the flying spaghetti monster himself, and misdirecting it all behind the fact the MJF has a disease.

As with most democratic smear attempts, this will backfire, and we'll end up with a Republican in Misourri.

Keep shooting yourselves in the foot, libs

No, Repubs are the ones hoping the sub triple digit IQ crowd buys their stuff, remember Democrats only appeal to over-educated snobs who drive Volvos.

Get your stereotypes straight Davey.

I think it is pretty pathetic for politicians to use commercials with people like Fox, and then lie to the American People about Stem Cell Research. First play on people's emotions and then get the public to accept your lies to endorse the least promising stem cell research there is. Stem Cell research is legal today because Bush signed it into law.

I think there are more profitable medical research that we could be performing.

I know this may sound cruel. However, I have personal knowledge of both Parkinsons and MS because people in my immediate and exteded family are effected by these two devastating diseases. Even knowing what I know, I dont think a cure is just around the corner, or Stem Cell research is necessarily the answer.

My own father has Parkinsons and He does not shake all the time. It tends to affect different people in differnt ways. I wish Micheal J Fox the best, but I think he is just being used.

How so? He wants to increase stem cell research to possibly find a cure for his disease.... Maybe he's using the Democrats and the Republicans, since he made ads for Arlen Specter in '04.

Wow! That's the first time I've heard that he did an ad for Specter as well. Why isn't anyone complaining about that one as well??

Actually Daveymark might have a partial point. If the "fruit loop libs" can convince some people with "IQ's lower then 50" then they would undoubtebly steal a lot of Republican voters.

You're totally right of course. Limbaugh's comments will only serve to add more attention to the ad and the message within. Rush claims it will back-fire, but he doesn't know how right he is. It'll backfire on him and the GOP. His ten million odd listeners will lap this sh!t up like good dogs, but everyone else is mortified.

Good luck to the GOP on November 7th, they'll need it! :D

Completely and utterly false. It never was illegal in the first place. Given how new the research is and the time it took proposals to get through the NIH, there wasn't an opportunity for Federal dollars to really get approved for research given how new embryonic stem cell research was as a valid medical field at the time. However Bush's policies have crippled useful federal funding for embryonic stem cell research, especially given the currently approved federal embryonic stem cell lines are not only of limited value since they are contaminated, but are completely unusable for human trials. (You can't use embryonic stem cells contaminated by mouse cells in humans.)
