Patch update news again.


13/01/2009 Patch notes & server maintenance
Patch notes Version 2.0.0.1804

General

* It is no longer necessary to have 1 Diamond left in the purse when purchasing items from the Item Shop
* Fixed party invite decline message bug.
* Fixed "backpack full" trading bug.
* Level 20 gift bag will no longer give transmuter charges
* The number of transmuter charges in the level 30 gift back has been reduced to 10.
* Guilds that were affected by the removal of the guild contributions will be reimbursed with this patch.

Quests

* Fixed daily quest that only gave 1 bierdine token.
* ?Continuing Research?: The quest requirement now matches the quest description.
* ?Recovery?: Players now get the correct reward for finishing the quest.
* ?Mammoth King?: The quest can now be completed by multiple players.
* The following quests are now fixed:
o ?Stop the Noise?
o ?Testing the Medicine?
o ?Gurla?s Benevolence?
o ?Wholesale Leafbats?

Skill (PC / NPC)

* Monster skills have been fixed. They will no longer cause extreme damage to the player characters.
* Fixed PK invite
* Spark-skill bug fixed
* Edited Green Gear attributes.
* Most equipment can now be equipped with 4 runes. Exceptions are:
o Talismans
o Ornaments
o Accessories
* Hodu Hammertooth?s skill "Mana Erosion" has been fixed.
* Fixed bug in Windmill that spawns 4 bosses.

Item Shop

* Re-worded furniture descriptions.
* Some furniture items now have one slot storage space.
o Table with Sheena's Dishes
o Magnificent Tray Dishes Table
o Magnificent Footstool Chest
o Magic Cabinet of Inspiration
o Marble Magic Cabinet
o Tall Engraved Wooden Cabinet
o Bar Cabinet

* Added additional system message for drills.

Edit / Clarification

* Added additional system message for drills.
* Spark-skill bug fixed (can no longer One-hit in PK-mode)

The initial wording "fail/success" for drills was a bit "off" - the system now inform you when you have successfully used the drill (which should be 100% of the time).

Added explanation what "Spark-bug" was meant.

Update - Patch content for next week

In the light of the changes made to the Auction House Diamond trading, we thought it might be a great relief to many to hear what we have planned for next week's patch.

Valentine's Event
Although Valentine's day is on the 14th February, we want that as many players as possible can participate in the events. That's why we start the event a bit earlier and hope all of you can enjoy the event.

Changes to Dismantling
Dismantling items was always a lottery - whenever a player tried to take an item apart, it could get destroyed in the process. Now we have changed this a bit:

The chance to get something - even something worthless to sell - is now 100%
Sometimes you can get some crafting materials to use for further crafting experiments
In certain cases - depending on level and rarity of the item (e.g. Tier 1-3) - you can get a rune
Bierdine-Tokens and the Item Shop
We are working on a system that allows our players to buy items from the Item Shop using Bierdine-Tokens instead of diamonds! So players who do the daily quests a lot can now use their tokens and obtain items from the Item Shop!

Of course the patch will also contain more - including fixes and translation updates...

Interesting. Apparently they're now allowing players to access stuff from the Cash Shop using their Biernadine tokens. Yes it will take way way longer than using diamonds but I think it's a good fix for hardcore non-cash players who don't want to pay (or pay as much).

Ran Bloody Gallery last night with a raid group of like 24.. was the most chaotic thing ever. Nonstop pulls, people dying left and right, but I did manage to do the first part of the quest.

Can anyone clarify the second part of the quest where you have to beat the second form of the bat? Do you need bloods to use at the tombstone and then he spawns at the end or does he spawn in the same room?

So I just started playing today, not bad so far. I've got a ton of these blue item drops that have the (Daily Quest) after them.
What the heck are the daily quests and how do I turn these things in?

Yep can do 10 everyday,if you want more then go to the cash/diamond item shop,so far I paid for my permahorse,got tried of the temp ones and paying gold for them.

Nice to have a horse now for long as I play the game.

Hit L on your keyboard ,that brings up quest logs,click on quest then npc position at bottom on where to go.

You guys been to the other noob areas,steppes etc.. quite fun there ,however watchout in Dust Devil canyon high mobs there.

Once you get enough bloods to lower the wall (one person needs to turn them all in so one person has everyone trade the full bottles to him) that's blocking you from advancing it continues a bit farther with the monsters being just a bit harder and the boss is just another zerg fest like the first one but it usually comes with a few bats that after you kill those while the tank is taking control of the boss everyone focuses on the boss and that's about it.

That was a really fun area but what I did was simply level my secondary there and left when it was around level 22 since all the quests that were left were 3 quests to kill a bunch of elite birds but not many people go there since not many people know that's what you are supposed to do so it can be a pain to get a party to do it.

There's a few more players now so I think more are starting to know there's another big starting area,I'm in dragonfang area at the moment thats not bad for quests.

I just had the best fight ever well actually as healer,did the Dwarf king in Dragonfang we had to form a RAID party in the end and there was 10 of us in 2 groups of 5 with 2 healers,had 2 tanks,we tried it with one tank at first but he killed us all,2nd time we was ready with no casulties :)

Hmm... looks like I'm going to play out my Warhammer sub for the month then switch 100% to RoM and a few other F2P games. At least that way I can play casually without the guilt that I'm spending money idly.

Scout/Rogue yay! Though in retrospect I should have done scout/mage.

Scout/Rogue is good for maxing Dex.

Rogue/Priest rocks I hear.

I did Blood Gallery today with 36 players in RAID group boy was it laggy,few of us got killed.

Horses to buy or hire,town portal gates,personal teleport runes for marking location and reca(uses a recall rune) and also hearth recall(teleports you to town you binded with).

Ahh, thanks. The town portal gates were the ones I was looking for. I know I've seen them around but I didn't know what they were for :)

FYI, recall stones are apparently a good way to make gold. Someone was selling them at about 2,000g each today, and had a buyer within 30 seconds.

I installed it last night and played for a 1/2 hour while the WOW servers were crashing left and right. Seems interesting so far.

Skills update


[UPDATE, 21/01/09: Skills]

Mage

* Mage's Pheonix will now do damage to all targets within a fan shape area instead of a straight line.
* Mage's Electrostatic Charge's cool down is reduced to 20 seconds (from 45 seconds), Buff will last 1 minute instead of 10 minutes; and the damage increased per skill level is increased to 16.
* Mage's Discharge no longer requires electrostatic charge to use, adds a daze effect, and now has a cooldown of 15 seconds.


Priest

* Priest's Wave armor has its cooldown reduced to 20 seconds, and the damage absorb per skill level increased to 22.5.
* Priest's Group Heal has its points healed per skill level raised to 19.5.
* Priest's Blessing of Humility will now "temporary" reduce aggro to the lowest.


Knight

* Knight's Shock will now correctly daze the target.
* Knight's Shield Bash MP cost is reduced to 20, and the base damage percent is increased to 20% from 10%.
* Knight's Enhance Armor has its duration increased to 5 minutes.


Rogue

* Rogue's Shadow Step now has a 20 sec cooldown.
* Rogue's Throw and Combo Throw has its base damage value reduced to 100% from 150% due to the adjustments of projectile base damage before.


Aggro Changes

* Knight's Shield Bash generated aggro is now equal to 10 times the damage dealt by Shield Bash. Elite Shield Bash does not change due to different settings.
* Knight's Holy Strike generated aggro is now 5 times the damage dealt by Holy Strike. Elite Holy Strike does not change due to different settings.
* Priest's healing skills all have their aggros increased.


Hotkey modifications

* All newly learned Elite Skills will automatically replace a "normal" version of itself if it is in your hotkeys.

All the rogue players were bitching about the 1 min cool down on shadow step,anyway RoM listened and lowered it to 20 secs,personally I think 30- 60 secs would of been ok.

Rogues are still too powerful and I hope the developers improve and balance the other classes.
