Some nice good news.

For Valentine's day, we conferred with Cupido, the god of love and he told us to show our love and appreciation to our players.

So we present every account with a level 10+ character with 50 Diamonds.
We will credit your account tomorrow, on Saturday the 14th February 2009 at 2.10pm GMT / 15:10h CET.

Cupido convinced us to lower the prices on several items in the Shop for the weekend:

- Big Angel's Sigh is now available for 5 Diamonds (was 15 Diamonds)
- Rune Removal Scroll: 5 Diamonds (was: 20 Dia.)
- Party Experience Potion: 10 Diamonds (was 30 Dia.)
- Advanced Skill Reset Stone: 90 Diamonds (was 199 Dia.)
- Permanent Mount (white / black / brown / spotted horse): 150 Diamonds (was 299 Dia.)

Please note:
The offer starts on Saturday 14 Feb. 2009 at 0:01h CET (= Fri. 13/02/2009, 11.01pm GMT) and ends on Monday, 16 Feb. 2009 at 0:01h CET (= Sun. 15/02/2009, 11.01pm CET).

But that's not all:
Cupido will have a little extra gift for you: Everybody will find a "Godly Redemption Ticket" in their character's mailbox to get rid of all the debt they accumulated from dying.

Have a great weekend!

I think rogues are overpowered, good combo's for them are Rogue/Priest or Rogue/Scout...Tank class is knight so good combo's for them are Knight/Priest or Knight/Warrior for more DPS.

Only if you have a habit of dying.

There are 60 level mobs (Elites too) etc...and some very serious overpowerd Bosses for high 40s and 50 level players, they try to farm those mobs for the Epic drops so chance of dying to those and other bosses is high ;),plus from 40 to 50 leveling very good chance of dying from some quests ;).

Last but not least is lag death ,I had that happen once to me.

Started a knight/priest combo, makes a good change from rogue/scout.

My group of 3 (lvl13 scout/warrior, lvl15 mage, lvl11 me) ran through an entire instance and killed an elite... Plus now I don't have to wait for random people to give me buffs!

I like my knight/Priest combo what I do is use 2h weapon for solo mobs(and buff from my house) and 1h and shield for tanking in groups.

After an epic PKing spree I racked up 13k exp debt, had to teleport out into Sascilia Steppes and ran into the middle of nowhere to hide from the lynch mob (only to run into a lvl 50 :disgust:).

I love this game.

Yep, undoubtedly the best PVE farmer in the game. I just hit 27/21 and solo'd Borrofar (elite bear that will one shot anyone but a tank, he's south of Silverfall) using the terrain trick. Slightly hilarious when you see people asking for groups to kill him that are 5-10 levels higher than you and you silently assassinate the guy. "Where did he go?" ;)

Just hit 40 on my Knight/Warrior off doing dailies alone from Harf Trading Post, haven't quested on him since 37. A quick tip to the n00bs, make sure you do not level your secondary past 30 once your main is 30-35 at Harf. There aren't enough quests to take you from 35-40 unless you like grinding, a lot of people get caught in this web and want to quit as a result. Keep in mind that you can hand in quests that are 10 levels above your secondary, so a level 30 can hand in any of the Harf quests once your main hits 40. Don't make this mistake (nubs running around 35/35 make me lol) or it'll be hell getting to the 40 hump.

I hit 40/40 on my Knight/Priest combo still got a few quests to do, when I do run out of quests I'll do dailys and crafting(working hard on my blacksmithy skill which is making me money).

One thing is there are no quests for 39 level so you got to wait for 40 for new ones (except dailys obviously).

Played it for the first time yesterday. Got a warrior to level 7.

My only gripe is that i hope they streamline the quest interface a bit and fix the bg music :) Certain things like having no sound effects for footsteps, havent heard any mobs make a noise besides attack sounds.

Other than that i really liked it :) Was definitely surprised at the quality for a F2P game i'd never heard about until i saw it on the forums.

One other question, I joined the PVP server and there was noticeable attack animation lag, etc. Not too much but a little. Is that normal for everyone in beta?

I did that with Yuri a few times - just pull him to the river near the bridge and apply dots or ranged nukes. Everybody in chat is asking for groups to kill him, I just tell them to solo him. It's funny when they try a direct assault and get smeared, then I come over and solo him.

Nice Add-On called PBINFO which gives stats/info of mobs/players and resources etc... helps a lot IMHO.

Installation: Unzip the attached archive file "pbInfo.zip" and copy the folder "pbInfo" to "Runes of Magic\Interface\AddOns". If they're missing, create them.

Link.

I installed over the weekend, it seems like a nice game. Not overly elaborate, but reminds me of a simple diablo type game in a MMORPG world.

Blackbile on Osha, 12 warrior/10 priest.

Oh god yeah, pbInfo rocks. I use that, the threat meter and the DPS meter ones.

The only other must-have noob tip everyone should know is "Shift-click" to click-through the idiots that stand on top of NPC's. :)

Alright, I'm downloading this, hopefully it's fun. I want to play a tank-ish class but can't decide which class to cut out warrior/priest/knight. I'll probably start with just a warrior so it's likely one of the other two. Thanks for the pbInfo.

Unfortunately since the RoM update this morning PBInfo does not work right,we just have to wait for the next release of PBInfo to appear.

Yeah I saw that, but the good news is that they finally upgraded the LUA! This will help stability and finally get the code up to today's standards. I guess they aren't playing around for this "official release" in March.

Good news is he reckons the new 0.17 version of PBInfo should be out tomorrow or Saturday ,so not long to wait for that :).
