I'm definitely interested in hearing more. He seems to be the only candidate on both sides who actually wants to reduce gov spending.

If I vote, I'm voting Ron Paul.

In before thread is locked for mentioning Ron Paul in the forums.

This is your second implicit mod call out on the same subject. The thread you reference was not locked because it mentioned Ron Paul. Please take a few days off to reconsider your approach.

Based on polling 10% (or less) of republicans will be voting for Paul

People like me are already counting Rick Perry out, but we forget that republicans don't care about having a bumbling idiot in office. Bush was in office for 8 years and you can look up all of the instances of him not knowing what he was talking about.

Damn, you sure are quick to shoot the messenger. It's not my fault that Ron Paul doesn't appeal to most republican voters

Apart from conspiracy theories that attribute his problems to, well, a conspiracy, why is he unpopular?

The only problem I have with him is that he wants to withdraw American military influence abroad, which I view as terribly naive, even for a man of his age and experience. Everything else I absolutely love about him.

It's ok.

He appeals to reasonable people who don't choose to associate w\ the republican or democrat party. There are plenty of us out there who see the republican vs democrat bs for what it is.

Look at the 2012 line up. You have Obama who most of us agree is simply a puppet. Hasn't lived up to any of his promises. Has simply carried the Bush torch.

Then on the republican side we have a bunch of nit wits who have all been exposed already before most real campaigning has even begun. We have main stream media telling people who their new top candidate is ever month or so whenever the current top candidate blows their wig and shows that they're unfit for office.

And then there's Ron Paul. He's got alot of people who control main stream media scared shitless to the point that they don't show his face on tv. They pretend he's not running. They disappear their own polls when the poll results are 60%+ in his favor.

It's a joke.

And yet come next year, everybody will file off to the voting booth and vote for some idiot who's already shown us they're not fit for office. And then we'll do it again in another 4 years.

Based on whos pulls . Telephone polls are munipulated . Online polls show reality .I would vote for him . But he won't get the nod . He likely is the true poll leader but the powers that be won't allow a good man to serve the people.

This.

And it's a biggie. I have no interest in electing a man who would practice isolationism. Some of you like to refer to it as noninterventionist, but in reality with all of our economic needs and influence as it exists in the world, it would be isolationism.

No thanks.

If by doing so, said intervention will translate into positive economic benefits or political influence that will accrue to this country longer term? Then definitely!

Long live the USA empire to which I happily belong.

LOL. Yeah, online polls are what truly show reality. That's why Stephen Colbert will be our next president.

Was this the guy elected in 2008? I swore we were told he was going to win then.

Thats true. I have NO reason that it won't happen again . The big differance is There is NO change you can count on this time around . I might also add that in the primarys People are going to be polling people that are with Paul this time around. if the numbers don't jive . Look out for a civil war.

Did ya notice the sample rate . The media is munipulating this . They call the people they desire . The CBS onlline poll showed Dr. Paul getting 26,300 votes 2nd place huntsman with 10,600. That a much larger sample rate . I live in Dem state almost all the people we know are for Paul .

Funny, I live in Texas and most of the people I work with/live near won't vote for Paul.

Online polls reach more people. Phone polls reach people who don't know how to use the internet.
