Funny, I live in Texas and most of the people I work with/live near won't vote for Paul.

They probably watch too much mainstream media news and don't think he's running or have been told by newscasters he can't win or whatever else they've been saying all year.

Online polls reach more people. Phone polls reach people who don't know how to use the internet.

Online polls are useless as they suffer from rampant selection bias. This is true for almost any voluntary participation poll.

Phone polls may reach some people that don't know how to use the internet, but they would reach them to approximately the same proportion as they do the rest of the population due to random digit dialing. The bias issues with traditional phone polling came from under representing people who only used a cell phone and people who did not own phones at all, but modern phone polls include cell phones in their sample and the percentage of people who don't own a phone at all are quite small and are accountable.

Funny, I watch 3 or so hours of local news every week and never once heard anyone mention that Paul couldn't win. Based on conversations with those who work around me, they don't spend much time watching the news either. Most people around here have heard about Paul for many years as his district surrounds the Houston area.

If all of you RP supporters want RP to be taken seriously, you'll have to do what it takes to get noticed in today's politics. Raise a butt-load of money! Money talks in current politics (see SCOTUS's recent ruling) and if you can't raise it, your candidate is toast. End rant.

There is a better chance of you using grammar correctly than there is Ron Paul getting elected.

Sadly he was not able to provide a grammatically correct sentence to rebut your dangerous notions on how the government should wield the power of the military. If we decide to correct his statement so that it is worth your acknowledgement, you wouldn't be able to sidestep and you definitely should have to defend that viewpoint.

If by doing so, said intervention will translate into positive economic benefits or political influence that will accrue to this country longer term? Then definitely!

Long live the USA empire to which I happily belong.

Never mind the fact that what you wrote can't really be read coherently, it is definitely scary that you think that military might should be used offensively to enforce interests outside of those necessary to our safety at home. Why should any soldiers be fighting for the USA's economic conquest. That isn't what it means to be American. The fact that you can think that military involvement in foreign affairs not directly related to our safety at home is definitely scary. Wars should not be started because some country wants to price their oil in Euros, it's a senseless waste of life.

I could I choose not to. I like mixing words and meanings as the are in constant flux in the real world. I like Paul and would vote for him . But he is up against the establishment . He can't win . I to stand against the establishment . The differance being I will win .

if RP wins against the fascist system and is elected, imo he will get JFK'd internally via a stealthy method and his death blamed on his old age. then more healthcare mandates rammed down our throats as a lesson.

The main reason Paul is the Texas 14th district congressman is due to the (R) beside his name, not because his stance on policies. He also hasn't had a strong opponent since Delay beat him in 1984 to take the Texas 22nd congressional seat.

By witnessing to the power of God. and the wickedness of people and there servitude to vile laws that the wicked bind them to. As for now you don't see it. But in a short time you will see and the laughter of people towards me and my words changes to utter hatered their suffering will be great .

Ron Paul isn't a particularly serious candidate and has been wrong about foreign policy and economics going on 30+ years. He's not particularly well informed about reality, and his followers don't tend to be all that experienced about the topics they spout off about.

Look out for that sink hole coming up near you . I wouldn't want you to be hurt but your home gone , I can live with that.

Not sure if I'd vote for Paul, but I do think a Huntsman/Paul or possibly Huntsman/Johnson card for the Republicans is their best bet at snagging the White House with their current line up of nominees.

There are so few people who are even capable of discerning what makes a good candidate. What I mean is they have absolutely no frickin clue and never will. There is no way Ron Paul can get much more than about 15%, because 80% of the population is terminally afflicted and at least 5% more follow the terminally afflicted.

Maybe nobody votes for Ron Paul because he's a bad candidate with terrible ideas.

Nah, it's probably some great, nationwide human deficiency that keeps people from understanding why he's so amazing.
