Although I love Rome: TW and cant wait for the sequel, what I really want is Medieval 3.
The original Medieval was great, but it's sequel, although good, felt more like a Rome mod instead of a new game. Low amount of units, and missing some of that great art accompanying unit descriptions the original had. I really want a new Medieval: TW game.
I want to see it expand on the concepts of diplomacy, with princesses, dukes, counts and barons. I want to see more development for generals more like in Shogun 2, more emphasis on Medieval era technologies, such as guns, siege engines and ships, and off course a big graphics uplift.
Although I am aware that the Medieval era was in fact devoid of unit diversity, this diversity was definitely apparent when comparing units in different countries, their clothing, weapons and tactics. Perhaps giving units more personality would also do a lot to make Medieval: TW more appealing to players.
I have to disagree with the poster who mentioned preferring sandals and sword to colonial era. I am very glad the devs made a game dealing with that period of time. Too bad they dropped the ball with certain things, but overall Empire: TW is great, with Napoleon definitely being the game that shined in all areas Empire didn't succeed.
