Jean was/is an amazingly intelligent person and the kind of poster who always had something really worth reading. I never quite understood the outsized hate for her from a certain cadre of posters -- seemed to me to be more about them than her. <shrug>

To this day, on a more or less yearly basis, she'll contact me in a way that shows she still lurks now and then on ATF

Thank you for the information. Dennilfloss definitely kept us on our toes.

He also taught me a huge lesson in redemption. He apologized and was willing to live with/laugh at his mistakes, which more than I could say for 99% of us. Plus, he had such a remarkable imagination. 🙂 RIP my neighbouring Canuck.

I never really agreed to a lot of his opinions, and especially never really took him seriously at all due to his infamous killing off of his fake gf.. In essence, this may not be the popular opinion, but I was never really fond of his persona online.

That said, he was still among the original members, and he did contribute where he could. I am still saddened, because he's been a member for so long here, and he felt more of that acquaintance of a club that we've been in forever of sorts... an online virtual club.

May he rest in peace, and my thoughts are with his family and friends.

Same here. The 'new crew' thinks all this online stuff is bullshit. Us 'old crew' know that everyone is a real person deep down inside.

When the news first broke, I didn't reply. I waited almost a week figuring it was another WombatWoman thing. It wasn't and I am saddened on how he died especially if some person that was way to sick to fly got on a plane when we are TSA'ing people with a simple screwdriver in their carry on.

This is the second (that I know of) frequent poster to pass away since I joined here. Very depressing indeed.
 
Oh Shi- I guess sitting really does kill you. He was a good guy and I saw him post frequently. He was always under the radar a bit but always gave good advice. Rip buddy.

Never noticed any of that stuff. He seemed pretty genuine to me so long as it was more of an impersonal conversation.

you were always a legend with your antics, and when you were unbanned on the forums it became a big OMG for me as I adapted to your presence.
