I paid $7.50 at a matinee. No imax but a huge screen. If you have that option, take it.
I think IMAX 3D is around $13 - $15.
Since I'm a cheap ass.
Is this worth $20 ($15 IMAX + $5 popcorn with water snuck in) or should I wait for it on Redbox BD for $1.50 in a few months?
Not sure if you saw the same movie that I did.
Jesus was dead for a long time by the time that thing died. Jesus died in 29-33AD and was born in 4-2BC. They reach that planet in 2093 I think.
Pretty sure you're trolling though.
I read the disc is going to have at least 17 more minutes. That might clear up a few things, or maybe not.
Let me see if I can get my head around this though. The 5 star pattern dates back to 30,000 years ago right? That planet is the military/WMD planet though and not their home planet right? So at what point did they target us for destruction?
They create us. They are disappointed with us. They want to destroy us. Maybe that's not it. Surely there have got to be more optimistic aliens somewhere? Then again they do share our DNA so maybe not

Sorry I think you got a few things confused. TheIt is not the planet itself. The planet that the movie takes place on is simply a random place they chose toWMD is either the black ooze or one of the worm aliens that comes from it.It's like a staging ground.get their WMD ready.
They decided toor before 2,000 years ago. In other words ~ 0 AD. We know this because thekill us arounddead Space Jockey is carbon dated to that time.
Saw it.
Was pretty awesome.
As much as i hate it being basically forced on me, the 3D was pretty decent.
But man, it left me with so many questions, some of which this thread has been helpful with
And yeah, trailers gave away FAR too much, which i had thought when i saw them.

This. It's just strange that they would lead us to the planet that's nothing more than a WMD staging ground. Why didn't the symbol lead us to the Engineer homeworld?
This.
And, whenWoody Harrelson looking guy was released from cryo storage, why did he kill everyone? Even if his mission is to send Aliens to Earth, he could have explined things to the Humans.
One of the writers also a writer for LOST - so it's no surprise you left with a lot of questions [and no surprise the DVD/Blu-Ray will have more answers!].
