If I say so? The 115th Congress is in session because I said so? Orange Jesus told them to hurry up because I said so?

And remember, in 2009 a main Republican talking point for the year+ process of debating, drafting, and enacting the ACA was 'what's the rush!?'.

Let's be sure to add that to the list of things they were/are totally not lying about when it comes to the ACA.

Who would actually buy insurance across state lines though? Do you really want state officials who are not accountable to you through elections, regulating your health insurance provider based in their state?

What do you mean? It works as well for the credit card industry? They are completely honest, never rip anyone off, and are customer service oriented

I'm pretty sure at this point Paul Ryan is just trying to figure out how many bodies they can fit on the wagons they pull through town when all the hospitals close. He's such a wonk!

Don't be silly, all we've heard for the last six years is how awful the ACA is. It must be so incredibly bad that anything else would be better, no? I look forward to the Republican fixing everything since they've been complaining for so long. Should be great.
You're not looking forward to anything, you're quivering like a scared rabbit that's too freaked out to even run. You have post after post in this thread alone expressing your deep fears, some of which are shrouded in transparent pseudo-bravado. The same people that voted for Hope and Change are now scared shitless over fake apocalypses that the media has force-fed them. A new President means change. Always has and always will.

Ten days left before you're rounded up for the camps and we won't have to listen to you anymore.

I always enjoy when one of our resident conspiracy nuts complains about other people believing in 'false apocalypses'. You're a deeply ill individual.

How many tweets has our most presidential ever president-elect put forth on the plan to accomplish this? (vs those on neilson ratings, Meryl Streep, restaurant reviews of his shitty Trump grille, Hamilton, and other important matters of state)?

Just wrote today he wants a repeal and replace plan passed in a couple weeks!

Time to roll up the sleeves!

"When are we going to get to see the replacement for the ACA?"
"We're sending to you to concentration camps after we finish building the gas chambers!"

Seems like a pretty reasonable response.

Good old boomerang is a useful thing for this forum though, he provides the 'drunk, ranting grandpa at thanksgiving' perspective.

115th congress is already in session. No reason to wait at all. Orange Jesus himself told them to hurry up. I'm sure we'll see something soon!

I wouldn't be surprised if AngryFingers believes that forcing Congress to repeal ACA right now, before he is sworn in, will somehow absolve AngryFingers of the consequences and obvious responsibility of this disaster?

He can always blame it on Obama! And Mitch the Turtle, true to form, can give us another one of those gems: "Why did you let us repeal your signature legislation, Obama? It's all your fault!"

:D

4 straight years of Republican failure and blame-shifting. Would be entertaining, if it weren't such a disaster for real people.

I mean I don't think this is a mystery, if they do end up defunding the ACA and actually have it go into effect it will cause a huge disaster which they will then try and blame on the Democrats.

I mean you do remember the whole debt ceiling thing where Republicans threatened to cause a worldwide financial crisis of epic proportions unless Obama repealed his signature piece of legislation and then tried to blame Obama for being uncompromising, right? You may also remember how many conservatives on here bought into their narrative. These guys don't care if they are brazenly lying because they know their base doesn't care.

Senate Approves First Step Toward Repealing Obamacare in Late-Night Session
http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/con...are-repeal-measure-late-night-session-n705816

Be interesting to see what happens. Obamacare didn't address healthcare itself, it couldn't as things stand and so eventually it needed to be replaced with something more intelligently derived. The Republicans now have that task and I don't see them doing much better, perhaps not as well, but it will be entertaining. I've stocked up on violins and popcorn to watch "Rome" burn. I hope I don't have to bring them out.

This is the one issue which above others makes or breaks the Republicans. If they fail then Congress will likely change hands. If they miraculously pull it off the Dems are in real trouble.

Interesting times, eh?

I don't see any reason to believe that if they fail, Congress will change hands.

Interesting. Did booker say why he opposed it?

He doesn't need to. He's from New Jersey where a lot of big Pharma is headquartered. I'm sure he gets a nice check from them.

Hayabusa Rider was talking about repeal and replace...not Booker.

Agree. It will definitely be interesting.
