And it doesn't help that he doubles or even triples down on it. Maybe that's his appeal, he's unapologetic for anything, ever.
I think that may be part of his appeal, although Hillary is the exact same way. But Trump is uniquely blustery about it; rather than trying to say he regrets his decision, he simply says fuck you and doubles down. He's not a politician.

People admire strength, but strength is a two-edged sword that can be used for you or against you. Although I suppose that is true of all politicians; it's not a field for betas.

I see where Trump was coming from and he had some valid points. Outrage not found.

You should tell Mitch McConnell that.

Again, this is Republicans castigating their own candidate, not the typical liberals.

It's not a field for most sane people. And what you call strength (the royal 'you' ;) ) I call arrogance and stubbornness.

Yep. It's par for the course.

Gotta give the Pubbies credit though. They are facing an uncommonly arrogant, obnoxious, dishonest and thoroughly dislikeable candidate, and damned if they didn't manage to top her. Obviously these are the qualities we as Americans want in our politicians - though damned if I know why.

It's still rather pathetic they are still supporting Trump.

Now that the party has finally come to admit something Trump has said is racist (as all the other stuff failed to cross their line,) their continued support means that blatant racism isn't that big of a priority to them.
Tax cuts and entitlement reform (the Ryan agenda) and not electing Hillary are more important, so they can live dealing with the racist.

I'm not sure how this improves their position.

Because the media will give them a pass and not connect those dots.

Again, lies from the peanut brain. Just once try to make an argument based on reason and facts little man.

Until then, enjoy your dumpster fire.

IMO they have, just no one is really listening. This is the guy who opened his campaign calling Mexican immigrants rapists, criminals and the unwanted losers from their homeland and never looked back.

The base laughed it up and voted for him in record numbers the more he trolled.

The establishment marveled how he was bringing "enthusiasm" and "new voters" into the party.

Only now that they've caught on that new energy is fueled by undeniable racist assholery are they backpedaling.

They've been backpedaling ever since those #NeverTrumpers went on to endorse him anyway. Remember how adamant they were about that then? And Trump is still exactly the same now as the nominee that he was before. And I guarantee the mainstream media won't press the R's on this any more than they press them on all their other bullshittery. The R's know it too, it's why we've gotten "Disavow the comments, not the candidate."

Starting to look like Trump paid off the AG(or whatever the title is) of Florida to drop an investigation into Trump U.

Objectively Trump has said worse things, but in today's world being branded a racist is like being branded a communist in the old days. You even have necrophiliac serial killers like Dahlmer making sure they let the victim's parents know he wasn't a racist. I mean being a white racist literally the worst thing you could be in this world.

An Iowa state senator just left the Republican party because of Trumps rants against the judge, Also Mark Kirk (R) of IL said today he's not voting for Trump.
Is their reelection dependent on the Latino vore?

Definitely in Iowa. Nothing but corn and Mexicans there. Everyone knows this. When the rapist hordes to the South found out Iowa had this mother lode of corn, ripe for the picking, they thought, corn tortillas for everyone!

Don't believe me? There are nearly twice as many hispanics as blacks in Iowa, upwards of 4%. Whites make up a paltry 91% of the population.

Perhaps their reelection is dependent on voters who abhor bigotry? That usually is what drives them to shift positions. It's not like the Latinos have the majority in their general electorate, let alone among Republican voters who they are most dependent on.

I know, right? Ordinarily that would lead me to believe her political life is over, but this is not an ordinary time. And her being a blond and all that..

Without Trump's racism and boorish persona, he wouldn't have had much of a chance needed for becoming president.

But because of how inept the GOP and Democrats have become, he masterfully takes advantage of the clusterfuck going on right now in American politics by strong-arming his way in the race.

I actually respect Trump for invading the GOP and doing everything necessary to make sure that he becomes the next front runner of the party. I have no respect or sympathy for the GOP, and I have no issues if Trump decides to throw the entire party into ruins. It's about time the GOP got its long-deserved shakedown from within. They literally brought this upon themselves.

It is god awful to watch these human beings performing reptilian shape-shifting to save their political lives among the bigots. Then again this exposure is one good thing that came out of Little Finger's candidacy in a perverse way. They will be remembered.
