We really need a mandatory retirement age for Congresspeople at like at least 75.

Say what you will about the lackluster messaging coming from party leaders but the strategy of picking the fight over ACA subsidies is sound (and apparently politically successful so far). Given this a Democratic cave would not seem to be on the horizon so Trump will probably do increasingly unpopular things to try to get them to move. Failing that he'll force Senate Rs to go nuclear ensuring the worst outcome for voters.

I would add that this is a fabulous strategy for Republicans: taking loud and clear ownership of the shutdown they caused and the effects it will bring. Let's see how that works out for them politically.
