we've already got a thread on grayson.

This thread is about the American Holocaust..

Wow, he really touched a nerve. Oh, and by 'we' he obviously meant Congress as a whole, not the Democrats. You know the answer to pretty much every question you asked.

I'm glad you admit that words have meaning though, you see this is what happens when the side you disagree with makes claims that are as hyperbolic as the ones the Republicans have made. Pretty dumb, huh? Unfortunately the Republicans have been asking for this sort of language for awhile now.

I do find this complaining funny from a guy who said that Democrats care more about 3 terrorists than they do about the deaths of 3,000 Americans. Hyperbole has offended you? Physician, heal thyself.

So what exactly is the difference then between the 2 parties? Other than one has control and refuses to address the death of hundreds of thousands? The one CAN act, and does nothing. The other CAN'T act and does nothing.

It would be a lot easier to see that you are an idiot than to waste tons of energy proving your a total complete and colossal idiot on top of what everybody already knows. Relax and be happy. You are an idiot but that can change. If you didn't feel like an idiot and try all the time to refute it, right there you would be a whole lot smarter.

Thats just logically a declarative squash with derivatives.

Translation? I thought Moonbeam made perfect sense. And I'm one of his worst critics.

Yes.. saying Republicans want people to die quickly is a fact.. I guess its about as much of a fact as saying democrats want terrorists to live and get free healthcare and kill innocent people.

People are dying right now, every 12 minutes someone dies from a lack of insurance, Republicans do not want reform, they want to kill every single proposal, that is standing up for the status quo, the status quo is KILLING PEOPLE RIGHT NOW.

You simply cannot grasp what is occurring.

And yet the democrats did not bring up healthcare for the past 8 years. People are DYING every 12 minutes because of the lack of healthcare and they don't EVEN TRY to bring up a bill? Even when they controlled both houses of congress?!

The democrat plan won't even take effect for a few years.. WHY ARE THE DEMOCRATS KILLING AMERICANS?!?!

Democrat plan: Die slowly so we can continue to vote democratic and we'll just keep extending the issue out for decades without passing anything.

You see, there is this thing called a "veto." Go look it up, then remember who the president was.

Could you link to me the healthcare bills GWB vetoed? As I recall he passed one of the biggest expansions of healthcare ever with the prescription drug benefits.

Yes Bush did sign the biggest example of Republican sponsored Big Government Wasteful Spending. Now what else do you want to honk about?

Totally agree.. so why would he not have signed this wasteful government program into law?

This thread is FNE's thesis for his MS in mental retardation. I'd say the committee has approved. :)

YOU LIE! The republicans have a bill called the patients choice act.
http://www.house.gov/ryan/PCA/

YOU LIE!

LOL, that bill isn't approved by anyone in your party which is exactly why no one is pushing it.

This won't fly:

"The Act would ask wealthy retirees to pay a little more for their Medicare benefits in order to avoid prevent their grandkids from facing future tax hikes. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that this would reduce entitlement spending by $30.6 billion over
the next 10 years. Couples making more than $170,000 (without an annual index to inflation) would pay more for their Part B premiums. Part D would be means-tested at the same level for wealthy retirees."

Class warfare!!!!

Die quickly children.

Most states already offer a child health insurance program. Why put implement a redundant costly program at the federal level?

Maybe because 11% of children in this country aren't covered by either private or public insurance. Of course they are probably just to stupid and lazy to earn it for themselves.

More like their parents are too lazy/stupid to get it.

i wonder how many of those children have parents who buy plasmas and escalades instead of insurance for their kids? the local dems wanted to extend SCHIP to 4x poverty level. if you're making 4x poverty level in texas and you need .gov assistance to get medical insurance for your kids you are doing it wrong and the cops should come confiscate your cars.

A day after accusing the Republicans of wanting Americans to 'Die Quickly' - Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL) offered up his apology for the holocaust:

"I would like to apologize, I apologize to the dead and their families that we haven't voted sooner to end this holocaust in America.?

I can only assume this is the official position of the Democrat party because nobody from his party has come out and comdemned his statement, and that he stated 'we'.. assumingly referring to his own party.

So what has Grayson done since taking office in 2008 to stop this Holocaust? Other than apologizing, not much. According to his own Wikipedia entry under "Congressional career" his most talked about action is attacking Rush Limbaugh.

Last time I checked Rush Limbaugh was not an elected member of Congress or a political appointee of any kind. Its good to know that in the middle of a holocaust againt American people that his MOST important action during his short legislative career was to attack Rush Limbaugh. Other than that, the only other accomplishment before his Sept 29th speech was some meetings with Federal Reserve officials regarding TARP money.

Surely if Americans were dying in the street there would be more important actions for him to take as an elected member of Congress than attacking Rush Limbaugh on healthcare? Surely if this was a holocaust, SOME member of the Democrat controlled congress for the past 2 years would have said something or tried to pass something? Unless this holocaust just started under the Obama Administration's watch?

Words and actions have meaning. If you are going to make the claim that Republicans want people to 'Die Quickly' and we are in the midst of a holocaust.. SURELY he could have taken SOME action in the past year to stop this? And since the Democrat plan does not take effect for several years, what is going to be done IMMEDIATELY to stop this?

According to Grayson who quoted a Harvard Study, 44000 Americans are dying every year from being uninsured. During his nearly one year in office he has done NOTHING to try to help these people. Thats nearly 40,000 people who died directly because of his inaction. His party has 60 votes in the Senate, and a massive majority in congress. SURELY they could have passed SOMETHING to save the lives of 40,000 people?

Thats ignoring the 88,000 Americans that would have died during the past 2 years of a Democrat controlled congress.. So thats nearly 120,000 people that have died under the watch of HIS party! I guess I am understanding now why he is apologizing. He and his party are watching hundreds of thousands of Americans die while they REFUSE to pass any sort of Healthcare reform.

So while the Democrat Party has been tackling important issues like Sarah Palin, Joe the Plumber, Rush Limbaugh, and Glenn Beck.. Americans are dying and they appear to be no closer today than in 1992 of passing anything. With a huge majority in both the house and the senate why can't something to done to stop this holocaust? Why do the Democrats keep ignoring it?

I'm sorry Rep. Grayson - Your apology is not enough to make up for the death of 120,000 Americans. You and the Democrat party should be ashamed of yourselves.

I think the democrats have attempted to reform the healthcare system in this country multiple times no? Wouldn't that be the democrats not ignoring and in fact attempting to do something about? Like they are currently trying to do now? (albeit failing miserably)

Some things are worth fearing. Dying from preventable and curable causes due to a lack of health coverage is one. Lies, fear mongering, deceit and deception by the health insurance lobby, their faux town hall rabble rousers and the legislators they buy are another.

Most (but not all) of those pimping the health insurance lobby's line happen to be Republicans. :|

I wonder if they'd be so quick to deny publicly funded health care to all Americans if their own publicly funded health care was taken away until they gave us what they already have... on OUR dime.

Yeah, stupid kids should drop out of school and get jobs and pay for their own insurance. We should never have let the libtards pass child labor laws to begin with, they are going to bankrupt us!

Interesting...someone is wrong.

We'll see whose wrong in the 2010 midterms buddy.

Im not sure a midterm election can prove or disprove the gallup poll, but I do know the gallup poll can disprove your baseless statement about a shrinking GOP.

I love this. Someone in the DNC finally woke up and decided to fight fire with fire. We had Joe Wilson screaming "You lie!" in an obvious attempt to turn attention away from Obama's speech. I'm glad that a Democrat finally has had the balls to stand up and cause a ruckus rather than trying to play kiss ass with the minority party that might represent the views of 20% of Americans.

More people should have yelled "you lie."

And the latest polls continue to show that the majority OF AMERICANS (not broken down into Dems and Repubs) ARE NOT in favor of Government run healthcare.

I'll bet you could do a poll that asks if Americans are for or against forced abortions for all unmarried pregnant girls, forced sterilization of anyone with more than two children, forced euthanasia of all sick people over 55, forced blood donations from all healthy adults, and forced organ-harvesting from everyone who dies before the age of 30. And I'll bet you'd find that an overwhelming majority of AMERICANS oppose all of these things. Of course, none of them has anything to do with HR3200, and neither does "government run healthcare."

It's not baseless so in the last Presidential Election when the GOP got crushed does that mean Republicans forgot to vote? doubt it :)

No, it means you could have ran a legally blind feces-eating walrus against any Republican in '08, and the (D) would have won due to the timing of the tanking economy and the debacle in Iraq.

Did this mean the country was suddenly all (R) ?
