how about the argument that obamacare will cost the state I live in more of my state tax dollars? Especially when Reid exempts Arizona from some of the provisions in obamacare that change medicare. So with Arizona exempt.. all the other states will have to pay more. And these are the leaders you guys are getting all wet over?

In fact, I posted (a couple of times) some suggestions on how we could work to reform our current system without getting the .gov further into the healthcare business than it already is. None of the usual suspects on the left bothered to respond. Just because I advocate that congress actually reads and understands the bill that they plan on commiting US to doesn't make me a partisan hack, obstructionist, or whatever boring cliche name you want to throw at me. I just finished refinancing my mortgage. Golly gee! I acutally read the paperwork before I signed it!

And brw, get your own party behind the bill before you continue railing against the stupid repulsivans. It's been said multiple times, but the dems have the majority. In simple, easy to understand terms, that means they have >50% of the votes in the House and >= 60% in the Senate. You don't need one lousy rep vote to get what you want.

A day after accusing the Republicans of wanting Americans to 'Die Quickly' - Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL) offered up his apology for the holocaust:

"I would like to apologize, I apologize to the dead and their families that we haven't voted sooner to end this holocaust in America.?

I can only assume this is the official position of the Democrat party because nobody from his party has come out and comdemned his statement, and that he stated 'we'.. assumingly referring to his own party.

So what has Grayson done since taking office in 2008 to stop this Holocaust? Other than apologizing, not much. According to his own Wikipedia entry under "Congressional career" his most talked about action is attacking Rush Limbaugh.

Last time I checked Rush Limbaugh was not an elected member of Congress or a political appointee of any kind. Its good to know that in the middle of a holocaust againt American people that his MOST important action during his short legislative career was to attack Rush Limbaugh. Other than that, the only other accomplishment before his Sept 29th speech was some meetings with Federal Reserve officials regarding TARP money.

Surely if Americans were dying in the street there would be more important actions for him to take as an elected member of Congress than attacking Rush Limbaugh on healthcare? Surely if this was a holocaust, SOME member of the Democrat controlled congress for the past 2 years would have said something or tried to pass something? Unless this holocaust just started under the Obama Administration's watch?

Words and actions have meaning. If you are going to make the claim that Republicans want people to 'Die Quickly' and we are in the midst of a holocaust.. SURELY he could have taken SOME action in the past year to stop this? And since the Democrat plan does not take effect for several years, what is going to be done IMMEDIATELY to stop this?

According to Grayson who quoted a Harvard Study, 44000 Americans are dying every year from being uninsured. During his nearly one year in office he has done NOTHING to try to help these people. Thats nearly 40,000 people who died directly because of his inaction. His party has 60 votes in the Senate, and a massive majority in congress. SURELY they could have passed SOMETHING to save the lives of 40,000 people?

Thats ignoring the 88,000 Americans that would have died during the past 2 years of a Democrat controlled congress.. So thats nearly 120,000 people that have died under the watch of HIS party! I guess I am understanding now why he is apologizing. He and his party are watching hundreds of thousands of Americans die while they REFUSE to pass any sort of Healthcare reform.

So while the Democrat Party has been tackling important issues like Sarah Palin, Joe the Plumber, Rush Limbaugh, and Glenn Beck.. Americans are dying and they appear to be no closer today than in 1992 of passing anything. With a huge majority in both the house and the senate why can't something to done to stop this holocaust? From 2006 - 2008, the Democrats did not control the Congress. They had 50+Lieberdouch. Lieberdouche is on record claiming that health care reform is far less pressing than, say, protecting Israel. But let's say Lieberdouche had a moment of caring for people who weren't Israelis and voted for health care reform, a public option, or whatever, do you think Bush would have passed that? Hell no. And in no universe did the Democrats have enough to override a Bush veto.

And believe me, if the Democrats fail to pass meaningful reform, they'll lose, just like they did in 1994. The American people want change in our health insurance/care system. If there isn't meaningful health care reform passed (not Baucus's whore plan), the Democrats will lose. Progressives are going to stay home and the Democrats can't win without them.
