Don't worry, Trump said, it's "mostly democrats" who aren't getting their paychecks because of the shut down. For crissakes, is their a bigger asshole in the entire world?

Trump administration suggests furloughed workers do chores for landlords to help pay rent...

https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump...kers-do-chores-for-landlords-to-help-pay-rent

From the article:

"The agency also urged workers to “please consult with your personal attorney” for any required legal advice amid the partial government shutdown, during which nearly 800,000 workers have either been furloughed or asked to work without pay." Maybe they can also do chores for their lawyers in exchange for legal advice"

I don't even want to know what his advice is for females in that situation. Sleep with Trump for a minimum $130,000? And what are those with a mortgage supposed to do? Work and do chores for the bank?

That Trump thinks this is a good line of attack shows how utterly corrupt he is. He appears to believe the Democrats should act preferentially towards their supporters and not attempt to govern in a way that helps all citizens, regardless of party.

It's also sad that he thinks this is a way to pacify his own base with this argument. The fact that he's probably right being the sad part.

Silly rabbit, everyone knows Federal Employees don't own houses. /s

BTW it also advised federal employees to reach out to their own attorney if they had any questions.

In the mean time Michael Cohn is setting up a help line for a low, low rate of $200 a call for impacted federal workers.

It's great how they manage to denigrate skilled craftsmen, like painters & carpenters. I mean, anybody can do it, right?

Pacify? Hardly. If Trump wins this, they'll be all fired up to go fascist on a variety of immigrant groups, like all of them. What makes 'em happy is for other people to be getting screwed harder than they're screwing themselves.

The fact you think 55 million or so people in the US are "certifiably retarded" shows me you arent capable of discussion with those whose opinion differs from yours. So why bother explaining?

There really is no compelling evidence that such people are not retarded. All rational evidence and deduction, historical precedence, points to this wall as being one of the worst ideas that humanity could conceive. It is useless and expensive. It is nothing more than a physical manifestation of the worst known ideas of humanity. History has shown this to be true again and again and again. Only self-hating imbeciles desire such things, and despots that desperately want to foist their overwhelming incompetence onto the backs of others. This is known.

So, I need to see some compelling evidence that such people aren't retarded. Recorded truth, as evidence by generations of humanity, point to this idea and such people as being indisputably retarded. I mean, that is a fact. I tend to couch my beliefs in such facts. I wonder why you feel compelled to deny such facts by defending certifiably retarded ideas. Are you trying to compensate for something, as well?

What if 55M Americans have been horribly exploited & manipulated by the GOP leadership, for decades?

What if Libs aren't the enemy?

That would require a very large tinfoil hat

Oh and true to form, and not surprisingly, you put words in my mouth. I never said libs are the enemy.

A tinfoil hat, like it's some conspiracy theory? The GOP has been making appeals to culturally conservative people by mostly pretending to agree with them on social issues, while they back policies which harm the vast majority of their base who are not wealthy. I suppose to what extent their policies have harmed their base is a matter of opinion, but it's not a conspiracy theory in any sense of the word.

U.S. Office of Personnel Management should suggest that Donny put Malaria and Iwanker on the corner and let them make enough money to pay for his wall.

Heh. So what's wrong with rural & small town America? Job Creators dumped 'em as they rode off for greener pastures & more profit. They did the same thing all across the rust belt, too.

Y'all have been voting for them to have the power to keep doing that for nearly 40 years. Let the Rich people have their way with us! It will feel good! And so we have. How do you like it now?

And, uhh, how do you have a culture war w/o an enemy? If Libs aren't the enemy, then who is?

Trump is going to become increasingly desperate as the clock ticks to the new congress. It is entirely possible (arguably likelier now) the new Democratic house passes a clean CR with $0 wall/fence money. Trump has no leverage so he's likely to do a series of increasingly crazy things.

I wont answer the first question, as you seemed to figure it out yourself, right or wrong. Secondly, I dont consider other Americans of any political leanings to be the "enemy". They just have differing opinions. Its shit like that that makes our country divided.

Damn. You figured out the secret GOP handshake. Lets all agree to burn those who put us in office so we die in extinction.

Yep. Pretty big tinfoil hat!

It is kind of amusing that despite one side being objectively right on all the policy merits UC is still angry at them for not giving in to Trump and doing the dumb thing.

Shit man, the republicans had two years to get it done. Talk is cheap.

Yes, I’m genuinely not sure what his plan here is. Why would Democrats give in to him? The policy he is pursuing is unpopular, the public blames Trump for the shutdown, and the Democratic base would go ballistic if leadership caved to Trump on his signature issue right after scoring a crushing victory in the midterms.

Democrats will either do as you suggest or simply re-pass the bill that previously passed the senate unanimously.

He has no plan. There never is a plan. Just a series of impulses and half baked ideas.

The idea that the Democrats would ever hand him $5B (or even $1B now) for fence/wall in return for a paltry CR is certifiably nuts. Totally divorced from reality.

Of course you won't answer the first question because there's no other way to answer it that makes sense. If there were we'd be hearing it already.

It's shit like decades of right wing propaganda from Rush, Hannity, Coulter, Fox & Breitbart that divides us, in case you hadn't noticed their decades of lies warping conservative headsets. It's wedge issues all day, every day.
