This is the deal....
If Trump "were" actually so innocent then WHY would he refuse to release his tax returns?
People forget in all this insanity with Trump tweeting and Republicans defending Donald Trump that an innocent man doesn't act so guilty.
Need us not forget the simplicity of the matter.... KEEP IT SIMPLE.

Trump, still refuses to release his tax returns. Most likely because they would show odd financial dealings with dark characters and foreign institutions, probable money laundering, loans and exchanges with soviet banks, money coming in with no explanation of source.
This guy is a crook!
And with keeping it simple, we have the Russian investigation winding down and Trump now asked to appear for questioning, suddenly a lot of people seem awfully concerned.
In panic mode. And that panic lead by none other than Donald Trump himself.
Does this NOT look very odd to people?
WHY.... no tax returns?
WHY.... suddenly all the fear of being questioned?
WHY... are republicans suddenly running to Trump's defense in such desperation?
WHY... is Fox News not only in total panic, they are engaged in total meltdown?
WHY.... as Trump goes before questioning do they all wave some memo around as if it meant life and death for Donald Trump? His very survival?

As the saying goes, we have reached the point where one can no longer see the trees for the forest.
Stay focused and for gods sake people KEEP IT SIMPLE.
This is a corrupt president with a dark past. A president continually refusing to lay it out on the line. Refusing to divulge his financial dealings. Refusing to come clean with the American people. And with Trump constant attempts to change the subject and to distract.

This is not rocket science.
We have a corrupt president engaged in financial conspiracy with an American enemy.
And WHY would an entire American political party try to hide and defend this crook?
Its all for power and control.
Its all about stacking the deck for that top 1%, protecting republican interest, owning our US Supreme Court, class and voter suppression, rewriting the constitution to suppress the masses, legalizing bigotry and hate, then last but not lease forever maintaining all of the above in their favor.
This is soooooo much more than just Donald Trump. This has become a full blown American political coup. Tossing a messily few bucks at the electorate in the disguise of so called tax reform, then hoping no one will notice what is really going on here.
If Donald Trump survives this, gets away with this, then America is over....
Our enemies have succeeded with our demise, the demise of truth and freedom.
An unrecognized nation of walls, lawlessness, dictatorship, and corruption of power.
A nation run amuck.

What I don’t understand is why republicans are keeping trump around, they’ve got their bigly tax cut, their SC judge, what do they need him for? Unless he’s got something on them, I can’t see why they don’t dump him and go with Pence What are his followers going to do , vote democrats?

Because the Republicans didn't get to spend four years 'investigating' Hillary Clinton , we have to deal with this shit. Since we can't blame the president, we have to blame the deep state bureaucrats!

Pathetic.

Considering that most of the folks in the FBI have probably voted for and contributed to the campaigns of these Nunes or Trump-esque idiots, though, it's hard for me to find much sympathy.

Support authoritarian candidates, win authoritarian prizes.

I think alot of it has to do with being mid term election year. I think alot of the republicans that are up for reelection want to be in President Trump good graces to get his supporters votes. If I recall correctly I believe in the past President Trump has said he'll endorse whatever republican that running against republican incumbent if they don't support him.

But trump is pretty toxic right now, I can’t see very many candidates wanting him to show up and campaign for them. If his popularity was better I could understand.

I seriously doubt that a lot of FBI agents voted for Trump. They're trained. They know how to spot a con artist. It's sad that a whole lot of people were unable to do that.

Carter Page Touted Kremlin Contacts in 2013 Letter

Former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page bragged that he was an adviser to the Kremlin in a letter obtained by TIME that raises new questions about the extent of Page’s contacts with the Russian government over the years.

The letter, dated Aug. 25, 2013, was sent by Page to an academic press during a dispute over edits to an unpublished manuscript he had submitted for publication, according to an editor who worked with Page.

“Over the past half year, I have had the privilege to serve as an informal advisor to the staff of the Kremlin in preparation for their Presidency of the G-20 Summit next month, where energy issues will be a prominent point on the agenda,” the letter reads.

Reason 1,564 that trying to hinge a fake scandal on surveillance of a dude who does stuff like this probably isn't the wisest of ideas.

Should the actual evidence noted in both the Republican and Democrat memo be declassified and released so the American people can make their own judgements and not just from a controversial memo?

Nationally this is true. I would put plenty of money down that there are districts that are still die-hard on the Trumpus.

They've defended him tooth and nail. Getting rid of him would admit that they were wrong in some small way. Republicans can't have that.

No.

Memos are stupid. Redact and de-classify the actual docs if you think this matters at all.

But it doesn't. The agencies involved were following proper protocols and procedures. This is a smokescreen and a stupid one. One of his own advisors said they shouldn't have pushed the memo shit after the SOTU when he was actually riding a little higher, but he even fucked that up.

I can only speak anecdotally and hypothetically, but:

1) Allegations have been made that Comey announced his re-opening of the investigation into Clinton 10 days before the election because of threats that it would be leaked from the FBI anyway and create a scandal that he was trying to cover it up. This, based on poll numbers that rapidly shifted after the announcement, almost certainly helped to shift the election in Trump's favor.

2) I have had personal interactions with FBI folks and their family members. They did not like Clinton, and were looking for any excuse to vote against her. (again, this is anecdotal)

3) Look at the campaign contributions made by the top folks at the FBI. They aren't made to Democrats.

It is currently convenient for the Democrats to praise the FBI and Comey, but the fact is that they (FBI and Comey) likely handed the election to Donald Trump.

Trump is presently on twitter further demolishing with a sledgehammer the Republican narrative that the Nunes memo wasn't designed to justify him firing Rosenstein and/or Wray.

Considering the House Intelligence Committee decided to only allow 1 member from each party to have access to the underlying intelligence, I am going to have to go and say no, there seems to be a reason it ought to be secret.

Wonder why Trump only wants to fire Rosenstein? He has another appointee that signed one of the renewals Bointe(sp?). I wonder why he just wants Rosenstein...if there was only some simple answer.
