Yes, just like leaving something in an unlocked car that gets stolen.

Not the same thing because you are not stealing anything you are only looking at a pic that anyone can look at it if the profile is set to public.

Where the fuck are you idiots getting ALL of the offending photos were facebook pics? Sure, many were stolen from people's fb profiles, but many others were of upskirt and underwear taken by scummy dudes.

I never said that I even said I bet there were questionable pics but I'll never know. The link said most of the pics were from facebook. So tell me what was really posted in the reddit jailbate you seem to know first hand.

The article says 'many' not 'most.' You are an idiot who can barely read.

This piece of shit was also involved with creepshots, which posted upskirt photos. Upskirt pics aren't from facebook.

You would actually be surprised, many of my own female friends have upskirt photos on their walls :p. Then there's always Kenh18+.

I've already said that his upskirt deal is indefensible. It's the whole jailbait debacle I take issue to.

If he actually perpetuated a crime, he needs to be charged for that. So far, all I see is running a group that pushes people to do a crime (getting the upskirt pics). Not to mention he most likely took pics himself. Therefore he should be charged with those two crimes. That's it.

No, he should be outed as a piece of shit who actively encourages criminal activity that victimizes random women. Gawker is well within their free speech rights in outing this piece of shit.

Why do you hate freedom of speech?

I never said I agree with what he was doing but some of the stuff that got posted like the facebook stuff is nothing you or I can do about it. The link also said he deleted the child porn stuff and was cleaning up the shady side of reddit and that is how he became a mod. He was playing in the grey area.

Some, but not "MOST." Why are you dissembling to defend someone who "openly brags about having oral sex with his 19-year-old step-daughter?"

Until yesterday, Martin and Reddit's staff were apparently comfortable that Jailbait's community moderators, users like I_RAPE_PEOPLE and Violentacrez—a 50-something Texas software engineer who openly brags about having oral sex with his 19-year-old step-daughter—could keep Jailbait just this side of the law. But, whether they eventually admit it or not, Jailbait turned into a hub for fans of outright child pornography. It's good that they shut it down. But what about the dozens of Jailbait knock-offs that Redditors point out still exist on the site? Shut them down too.

You bold a quote by the troll in question and you based your assumption on his own quote. Let me guess, you're one of those that believe everything Mitt Romney says during his campaigning speeches.

when someone admits he's a troll, I tend to believe that. Romney, not so much. and no, I aint voting for obama either. where I live is solidly romney, so neither is getting my vote. I'm gong green.

Hate freedom of speech? Come up with a post where I directly contested that it was against Gawkers freedom of speech to do this. You're now labeled as a defamer until you can do such.

As for encouraging criminal activity, that's exactly what I said before, he should be charged for both crimes, encouraging it, and doing it for himself.

Why are you down on him for it? Was it consensual? Is she crying rape? Other than the damage done to our sacred puritanical lawbooks what damage was done here. Analyzing by this one sentence, how should I suddenly paint this man as a piece of shit? Do you understand how much inbreeding is in your genetic makeup? And I'm not talking in the last 200 years, no take it ALLL the way back, to the beginning of human lineage. Can you wrap your tiny mind around that?

Mainstream reddit is for the 4chan tards and entertainment. The real beauty of reddit are the smaller community sub-reddits. If there's an interest in something, there's a reddit for it.

Awhile back I started a thread about someone stealing a picture off facebook.

http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2258355

Most of the replies I got were pretty negative on my opinion that images can be "stolen".

There seems to be a shift in opinion depending on what the image is being used for.

So why the anger in this thread about images being taken from facebook and posted on reddit?

You've been defending this piece of shit up and down this thread. And, the fact that you think that eating out your step daughter is ever kosher tells me all I need to know about you.
