You can't really argue that more people have now heard of her than before. Nobody watches these shows, and she probably would've otherwise gotten a one paragraph blurb in the paper at best. Now it's everywhere, and it's not inconceivable that some people might pick up the CD that wouldn't have otherwise.

while its possible that she will get a few more sales (its not going to go up. its been out a very long time). its not like Swift was hurting. She has been on the top 10 for 43 weeks. She is played on EVERY station i have seen (well not rap i guess). so im willing to bet that those that listen to her type of music and would buy it already have it.
quebert is a fool and his post just proved it. At first h e as saying how she is stuck at #9 and with this she may hit #2. so Kenya helped her carrer. when pointed out she has been #1 and after nearly a year she slid to #9 he comes up with something diffrent.

With enough money and popularity - you can pretty much go insane and do whatever you want. Kanye has a history of shooting his mouth off when he really should shut the hell up. His antics remind me of other "celebs" who use these types of events to stir up crap for their own agendas.

What he did has been done at the MTV awards before, si it's nothing new. People just hate Kanye so they make this into a huge thing. Nobody really bitched when Spike Jonez did the same thing when the Beastie Boys video he directed didn't win. He interrupted the winners and blasted them. Actually from what I remember most people were laughing their asses off saying "that was great!" Maybe because Spike had on a weird costume? Don't remember names but there have been 2-3 other instances like this, and nobody was up about them. They're all douches for doing it, I just find it hilarious there wasn't any backlash until Kanye did it.

West has a long history of stupid stunts like this. He has a right to express his opinion for sure but to bum rushed the stage and crashed Swift speech (a teenager girl no less)? ..and he wasn't even on that ballot. If he wants to do something, then create an award show and then award to whoever he wants to.
I wonder if Emimem or some other white dudes did something like crashed some black young teenager girl acceptance speech and screamed "the other white girl should have win"....then the black community would yell RACIST for sure. Al, Jessie, and their kinds would chant.."no justice, no peace".

I actually like Kanye's music a lot. I went to one of his concerts before. His music is relevant, it's current, and it gets the crowd going. When there was the whole Kanye vs 50 Cent ordeal I was completely behind Kanye. WTF happened to that piece of crap 50 album anyway? I got it but I don't recall listening to any of those songs after the first few weeks. Kanye definitely blasted through my senior year.
With that said he can't sing for sh!t. He can rap though. No singing, no musical talent (except for rapping) AT ALL. Everything's synthesized and if you look at Youtube there are videos out there showing fat idiots who can't even hum out a simple tune like twinkle twinkle turn on the synthesizer and sound better than Akon.
My gf's gotten me into Taylor Swift recently and while I don't think her music itself is that amazing it's somewhat catchy and gets me going. Her songs are beyond overplayed on the radio that I can sing most of Love Story.
What Kanye did that night was a total letdown. This just goes to reinforce what a piece of sh!t you can be and what a crybaby you are at awards ceremonies (this isn't the first time he's made a scene).
Props to Beyonce and her classy moves.
I read somewhere on Yahoo where Pink called Kanye a POS. There's a lot of women out there who have had 2 top songs this year. Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Pink, Beyonce... Lots of competition this year. I do hope Fearless goes to the top again after this so someone can buy one and shove it up Kanye's ass.
