I was reading a blog post this morning by someone who was actually there as a seat filler... apparantly Kanye was drunk off his ass the entire night.

i saw it on the News this morning. Beyonce was on stage for something else later on, and said, "i remember getting my first award when I was 17 and it was very special. Taylor, please come up here and have your moment." so Taylor swiftly came up to the stage and they hugged to massive applause.

Beyonce's tits looked amazing.

oh, B also said she's never even met Kanye. what a tool. ehhehe

i don't mind some of his music but he's an epic toolbag.

not just her tits looked great. the women is very beautiful and has a great voice.

My wifes sister (16) has one of her Cd's and plays it. i gotta admit some of her stuff ain't bad. Not the type of music i listen to but i wouldn't turn it off if it came on.

also enjoyed that song lady gaga (i think it was) sang. can't remember the name.
 
I am not a fan at all of Taylor Swift (too teeny pop) and I strongly believe in the 1st Amendment but West was not just out of line but was waaaaayyy ooooout of line.

Bum rushed the stage and took over someone speech? Where was the manner and common decency?

I am going to buy a CD from Swift and never spend a dime on anything from West.

Without a doubt. Beyonce's video was vastly better though (probably why it won more awards). Swift's was just kinda meh. "Oh look at me, I'm so 'awkward' and 'nerdy' with my unnecessarily large glasses, why doesn't the football guy love me?" Pretty derivative.

Not sure why he thought Beyonce needs defending or supporting though, it's not like she was being overlooked. Plus she's much more successful than Swift will probably ever be. What a tool, interrupting a kid like that.

It's not because of Kanye it's because of what he did. If Billy Joel had jumped up on stage and said "Fuck Taylor Swift, Emmylu Harris should have won this award!" guess what? Some people who aren't even Taylor fans would go by her album.

FUCK KANYE, the controversy here is she was interrupted, and that controversy will lead to a jump in sales, period. It has nothing to do with Kanye, it has to do with his actions. And anyone who would have done what he did tonight would have given Taylor publicity.

Yes, that is precisely what I'm telling you. Why would negative publicity drive someone to buy her album. From your logic, Kanye should sell more records because he's such a "straightforward" guy who speaks his mind and now everyone has had a chance to see that.

In the end it comes down to this; Taylor Swift won and Kayne threw a hissy-fit like a little bitch. You are trying to justify his actions by saying that he ended up helping her because she will sell more albums (something I disagree with). In the end, that doesn't change the fact that he's a douche and that you, by standing up for him (for reasons others have pointed out) are making yourself look like a fool. The album was already a #1 seller, she didn't need Kanye the-whiny-bitch-boy's help selling anything.
 
ummm...anyone else think this was probably as pre-planned as bruno dropping on eminems lap?

the only memorable aspect of the non-relevant mtv awards these days are these publicity stunts
