Yes, and I understand this week it will be higher on the charts again then it would be otherwise thanks to Kanye. He's a douche but Taylor will make more money from this. Her speech getting interrupted will result in a ton of cash in her pocket from the extended sales. I don't care if her album has sold 20 million copies. She has a chance to hit #1 again, which is rare for an album that's been on the charts that long. This is free publicity, hell her label couldn't have paid for anything this big.

/geturheadouttaurass

You might buy into the idea that this lowlife can touch anything and turn it into gold, but the rest of us know better. If she sells any better it's because she's talented...more so than Kanye...*gasp*

So you're telling me thousands of people talking about this who normally wouldn't talk about Taylor swift isn't going to lead to her selling more albums? lol. It's not because of Kanye it's because of what he did. If Billy Joel had jumped up on stage and said "Fuck Taylor Swift, Emmylu Harris should have won this award!" guess what? Some people who aren't even Taylor fans would go by her album.

FUCK KANYE, the controversy here is she was interrupted, and that controversy will lead to a jump in sales, period. It has nothing to do with Kanye, it has to do with his actions. And anyone who would have done what he did tonight would have given Taylor publicity.

Those times are more often than not.

Kanye's Apology (To "Stronger")

Tha-Tha-Tha That That Don't Kill Her,
Can only make her Stronger
MTV's kickin' me out now,
cuz I can't stay much longer

I know I got to leave right now
cuz I can't get much wronger
Man I've been hiding all night now
Feelin' the hate from all ya

Taylor Swift won tonight
Beat the "best video of all time" tonight
Tried to give her acceptance speech tonight
And I had to in-ter-rupt it, right?

Awesome, I'm front-page on front-page news
Damn, no one's givin' me my righteous dues
Sorry you all blew a fuse
But come on how could Beyonce lose?

Taylor Swift's Reaction (To "You Belong to Me")
I'm on the stage with Beyonce, I'm upset
I'm going off about something Kanye said
'Cause he doesn't get my music like she does.

I made my speech, not a typical Sunday night
Now Kanye West's a guy that I don't like
But he'll never know how dickish that was too

He's a rapper, a gum-flapper
I sing country, but I'm still here anyway
Wishin' this was done
And I wake up and find
That his outraged cries
Were all just in my mind

If he could see that he stole away my moment
My vid-e-o, it won. So why can't he see?
It belonged to me, It belonged to me

With that, I go to bed.

Kanye apologized...move on people. I gotta agree w/ Wale to some extent: I'm not gonna hate too much on a man always willing to speak his mind. After all, when he won an award that he felt he didn't deserve, he tried to give it to OutKast.

If some of us were to speak our minds whenever we felt like it, we'd be fired. There should be some shred of decency in people - he has proven (several times) that he has none.

his own music label is more than free to fire him, I don't think G.O.O.D. music would because you know, he's the CEO and all.

True his timing wasn't the best, but I think it's being a blown out of proportion a bit.

I work with a gentlemen who is for all practical purposes is a real life Kanye. He runs his mouth all the time because (1) he knows there will be no repercussions and (2) it's pretty damn entertaining. Sometimes the laughs/entertainment value comes at someone elses expense, but life goes on.

Sure, life goes on - but that doesn't make him any less of an asshole.

The people who hated Kanye, hated him well before this incident. The people who loved him will for the most part continue to love him after this incident. He is just one of those "love him or hate him" guys with nothing in between.

If the people who hated him have just one more thing to point to and call him an ass, then so be it.

Those of us who had no opinion now have one. 😉
