Lately, via youtube videos and town hall meetings, Obama has been routinely getting asked "why can't we legalize marijuana"
I was thinking it would be better to pose the question:
"With tobacco and alcohol killings hundreds of thousands each year by health complications, accidents, etc. and in comparison, marijuana doesn't kill anybody and is now known to be relatively safe in comparison, why is it that tobacco and alcohol are legal, regulated, and taxed products while yet marijuana remains illegal causing massive stress on our judicial and law enforcement systems and costing tax payers billions of dollars in enforcement costs? I would predict that any logic you will use to justify tobacco and alcohol's legality can be applied to marijuana."
I guess.. rather than posing the question to have him justify marijuana's illegality, have him justify alcohol and tobacco's legality.
