Beer is downright nasty. Tastes like piss.

Don't see the appeal at all. I'd rather have Dr. Pepper or Sweet Tea

I agree Pilsners taste like piss so try a man's beer.

Erdinger Double Pikantis Bak Weis

I tend to like the cheaper beer varieties. MGD or Labatts being my choice, and only enjoy beer cold.

However when I reach for the bourbon, I prefer Bookers, straight and room temperature.

There are beers that taste good. Some people like certain beers, but absolutely hate other ones. Some people like them all, some people don't like any of them.

... Then there are people that understand that the easiest way to get drunk is to head to the bar, buy a pitcher for $5 or less and drink it all yourself.

Anyone who generalizes to all beers, based on a meager sampling of a certain type of beer (i.e., mass-produced beer like BUD or MGD) is a DUMBASS!

I don't like anything bitter so I don't like beer. Jack, though, is another story.

Man, if you're drinking bitter beer, you're drinking the wrong beer.

I'm quite happy with my Stone Ruination IPA, and it's ~120 IBUs, thank you very much.

Easier than that is getting a bottle of Red Grape MD20/20 for $4 or less and chug it all yourself, quickly. 🙂

I can't believe what I'm hearing. American beer tastes like piss, yes. A good Irish, Scottish, or Belgium beer however...you all are crazy.

You are for getting there are tonnes of small and micro brew American beers that taste great.

Like Sam Adams, Wachusette, Sierra Nevada, ect ....

And many are much better than most European beers

lol all these kids, what are you 16? No, you won't like beer the first time you try it, or for a while for that matter, but I much prefer an ICE cold glass of beer to liquor (well except jack on the rocks, but thats different) besides in college people generally don't throw parties with 50 bottles of captain morgans, its more like a handle of vodka mixed with some hawaiian punch for the ladies, top shelf for the owner and his buds, and 10 kegs for everyone else. But yeah, you aren't gonna enjoy natural ice that you've been hiding all week from your parents in the trunk of your car on a friday night.

alcohol in all its infinite varieties can be delicious
good beer is delicious
good liquor and wine are too
you must develop a proper palate to appreciate these things

I have never, since my arrival in America, tasted a good American beer. The one thing I miss about home is the beer 🙁

I really hope that a lot of you guyz who base your judgements on the cheapo stuff take the time to try some of the really good american microbrews that are at your local liquor store!!!!

I'm not a connoiseur yet, but i'm gettin there.Gimme like 5 years.. lol Right now i have Paper City Hop Monster which is insanely hoppy and sweet. I recently fell in love in Yard's IPA and it's my regular beer and keep some DogFish Head 60 min IPA and Seadog Blueberry wheat on hand just for kicks. Just tried Ipswich IPA and it tastes like kakapupu! Yuk!

Like some other people though, I have trouble enjoying heavier beers like stouts/porters.. i do like Gritty's Black Fly Stout though. It's not as heavy and bitter as guinness is. Maybe, as it gets colder, i will enjoy stuff like Sam Smith's oatmeal stout and stuff like that more.

Anyone have a taste for saison beers? I tried the Yard's Saison. and i kinda liked it.. even though it tasted funky!

Piss beer is crap, but there are some good ones out there. London Pride is my favorite, but then again, its an ale.
