Probably just someone posting how he never has driver issues with his integrated Intel HD Graphics while playing minesweeper.

Or for the ever paranoid...
Secret "Moderator only" posts discussing who to ban for hating AMD or Nvidia enough to post an opinion. :whiste:

EDIT: Hey, i made page 4, now there is a mystery page 5.....LOL

Curious.

When you guys say "No issues", do you mean no issues at all ever, or no issues you weren't able to solve or work around?

Oh there is always issues. For example, with 12.6/12.7b my HDMI audio skipped very badly. 12.4 or the newest unreleased beta fixed it.

Always workarounds.

I had a GTX 570 that made very loud snapping sounds everytime playback started for anything, eventually drivers corrected it.

I meant, currently, no issues that I havent been able to easily resolve.

I guess you can always look at it this way.
If there were never any pc hardware issues, this entire forum would be practically dead.

Anyway, think of how much we "learn" about our hardware when troubleshooting issues.
IMO, there is just no better hobby.

My 7870 is currently showing some *extremely* minor corruption and artifacts in some 3D games. Like, so subtle that most people wouldn't notice them... short flashes of random garbage that only last for a split second. I'm worried it's my card, but after reverting from 12.7 beta to 12.6 WHQL, the artifacts disappeared a little (but haven't completely gone away), so I really hope it's just a driver thing.

I think the card worked flawlessly on 12.3 and 12.4 though. Unless the card just recently started going bad in the past few months, I'm chalking it up to AMD drivers. Impatiently waiting for 12.8 WHQL right now.

I don't think I've ever had a serious driver error (games crash, drivers crash, needs multiple reinstalls etc) with a single 3DFX, Nvidia, ATI, or AMD video card, ever, and I've used beta and 3rd party drivers for many. Someone having those sorts of problems should be looking at the hardware or setup.

I have 3 7970's in rig in sig & they aren't perfect, but they work well. Sure, sometimes I have some hiccups while playing BF3, but I wouldn't create a thread about those hiccups.

Not sure why you're having the issues you're having. Everyone has a different configuration. The 7970 is a very good card.

Exactly!
If the OP statements above are true, then he definitely had a hardware problem, not driver issues as he stated.
And he stated he had to downlclock the cards and still had crashes....then why the downclocks?
Either he was "unlucky" with two different cards, or had another hardware issue like overheating, clean power issue,.etc..etc.., not driver issues as he stated.
Or he was just trolling as mentioned, since he did do a "hit a run" as blackened23 cleverly put it.

EDIT:Seriously, if the OP is a member of this forum, where are his threads asking for help in solving any of the issues he stated?
Wouldnt this be one of the best places to ask?

TBH, this sub forum would be the last place I would ask for help with AMD drivers, if I had NV drivers, okay, but bet ya bottom dollars Id be called a troll if I said I was having issues with AMD drivers...

Jesus, this thread again. Let me summarize every thread like this:

1. OP has problem w/ AMD/NV GPU, generalizes that all cards made by manufacturer are bad.
2. In response, some posters using card from different manufacturer say they have no problems.
3. Other posters using card from same manufacturer as OP say they have no problems.
4. Posters call other posters trolls.
5. Nothing is solved.
6. Wait a few weeks for 1-5 to repeat in another thread.

All you AMD card owners have never had any issues... except with Rage!!! Amirite????!!! :D

I kid! I kid!

Rage had issues with both my AMD and NV cards...I tried everything, tweaked the shit out of it, and no luck. I even bought an SSD and used steam mover to run the game off the .exe with the hopes that it would fix the texture issue. No such luck.

Wow, i never knew other members felt that way about the anandtech Video card forum.
I guess the opinions of these boards really has gone downhill in the last few yrs.
Ive been here over 16yrs (yes b4 the board reset), and I never had any issues asking for help with any hardware, regardless of namebrand.

But now that you posted that and got me thinking ,i realize , I guess i do also search other places like the Rage3d and Guru3d forums first for solutions to AMD video card issues before coming here..

Why is this thread so bad?
The OP is just a rant about how bad AMD drivers and hardware is.
With no real question to be answered or solved.
And the rest of us were stupid enough to post in the thread anyway.

Thread closed due to excessive arguing/trolling. OP, if you have specific questions and want actual help, feel free to make another thread, and others will help you. This thread has gone way off topic.
