Provides no system specs. Check
Cites no specific software affected. Check
Provides no testing. Check
Lists no steps taken to correct issues. Check

What was the point of the post again?
To incite the problem with space between keyboard and chair that OP is having issues with at the moment.

After googling his complaints it seems these are legit complaints one might have if one had an AMD gpu.

Curious.

When you guys say "No issues", do you mean no issues at all ever, or no issues you weren't able to solve or work around?

Now my dual 6950 crossfire cards did have an issue with Crysis 2. Dang ole ATI!

It does seem like that issue was eventually fixed...

Have a Gigabyte 7950 WF3 since March, one issue where driver disabled overclocking past CCC limit, and fixed it myself inserting a few files into the driver package. Too bad it requires a small amount of intelligence to do, unlike blowing up a 590, or having your Nvidia driver constantly crash and stop responding while you're browsing the web, or having your Nvidia chipset equipped laptop burn out... tell me again, was it AMD cards that everybody and their mother ended up baking?

"blowing up a 590" Indeed it was an Nvidia epic failure. Another thing I am having an issue with my current Nvidia card is that every time I turn off Windows Arrow effects to free up some resources for heavy games I get extremely bad screen tearing even on the desk top when scrolling in the browser LOL. I personaly like the old school simple look so this is a problem for me.

yeah you gotta love the people that claim to never ever have issues. there are people on here that have claimed to use cards dating back to the 9800 with nary an issue at all. I call those people liars if they are actual gamers.

I had the not waking up from sleep problem, it was pretty annoying. I worked around it by disabling my monitor and PC from going to sleep. With 12.6's (or 12.7's? I forget which I have now and am not on that computer) I haven't run into that problem any more. That was my only problem, I don't have it any more. But, I'll admit that I don't game or buy just released games nearly as much as I once did.

My Llano laptop has one odd issue, if I click back somewhere in text I've typed, the cursor doesn't move. I know it is where I clicked, and as soon as I start typing the cursor appears. Not a big deal, really.

I can honestly say, with both my 4870 and 5870 I had absolutely zero issues, not even little problems, unless I tried to OC too far. Once I dialed back my OC's to stable levels, I simply had nothing but a perfect experience. Even when I added a second 5870 I did not have any problems. Sometimes scaling left a bit to be desired (but with a Phenom II the blame could also lie there), but as far as stability, no issues.

I don't think the OP is trolling because he's bashing AMD. There have been plenty of legit driver complaint threads about AMD cards (and Nvidia cards) on this forum and others. But the entire OP reads like a troll post.

The problem could be with select software used and not the video card driver but this is vague ground to determine whom is the culprit.

Two different cards and driver issues with both? sound like you got left over drivers

I'm not biased either way, As a matter of fact i have two pcs here with Nvidia cards and two with AMD cards.
With that said....
AMD is slower to fix issues with drivers, especially crossfire driver issues with games.

But i dont consider AMD drivers bad.
I consider AMD's driver uninstall horrible and it prevents users from getting a perfect clean install of new drivers, which is why you always see people with the exact same hardware have different experiences with the same driver and same games.
They'd save themselves a lot of complaints if they'd just fix it so everyone can get a perfect clean install when updating drivers.
Instead of users having to "clean up" the old drivers themselves using 3rd party utilities.

And what is with the A** backwards way of creating profiles, no clue how you can take something so simple and make it as unintuitive as possible.

Edit:And AMD could do a better job explaining CAP profiles for noobs so we don't have to answer the same question of whether or not they are needed over and over again.

No issues I can recall (with 4870/6950/7950) but I also don't game at the bleeding edge anymore. For example, the last game I finished was AC2: Brotherhood and I am now playing DE:Human Revolution, which are not brand new games.

My nVidia cards have also been mostly trouble free. 8800GT had no issues, but my 8800GTS 640 did but were fixed eventually.
