really really...

My FB page says I'm "Old School Conservative"

The Bush Years were hard... real hard.

Oh btw Conservatives have Real Jobs. While the Activist Dems are off for summers and looking to get into some trouble. Hell look at the white house it is full of thinkers and not doers. Solve all of our ills by giving more power to the people all the while Obama takes over another bank and another industry. Centeralized government is a FAIR government! Everyone gets a crapsandwich.

Who would you consider a old school con?

They are a Dying off
That is why I didn't vote in the last presidential election. I'm tired of holding my nose and voting. McCain is a POS in my opnion. That is why I do not affiliate myself as a Republican any more... well hell look at that trainwreck Scasafava in PA. That was neocons at work on that one.

Hope you know what you bargained for. If Rand is anything like his dad, he will oppose spending in all forms, but that will include for military and wars. And hope you aren't a fan of marijuana criminalization.

I think Ron Paul is for marijuana decriminalization.

<-----Voted for Paul today!

Even though Trey Grayson is a great guy and I do not trust Rand Paul but I still voted for Rand Paul today. A message had to be sent to Mitch McConnell. Funny thing is Grayson was up huge early.
Funny you don't here the word "neocon" mentioned much anymore. They are throwing out the trash.
LoL that is why they are in the minority now! RINO's are wishy washy ass kissing poll watchers. When you do not stand for anything this is what you get. Moderate Dems can be effective because the Dem party is a collection of numerous allies. The GOP'ers are just a few core groups in comparison and even then the Core is pissed...

GOP is in minority because they can talk the talk and can't walk the walk when it comes to government. GOP cannot govern when given power to do so. The party ideals don't translate to reality. Purifying those ideals is not going to change that.

I'll be just fine with any of that.

Rather humiliating defeat for the GOP leaders, especially Mitch McConnell, who is from that state and campaigned hard for Rand's opponent.

Question: how can the likes of a Rand say NO NO NO any more effectively than a McConnell clone or Bunning (who Rand hopes to replace)? All that will resultis more continued gridlock in the Senate.

WE the people spoke already and Obama won, we the people will speak again in 2012 and Obama will be re-elected.

Better get your shots in now spidey, because as you know the demographics are working against you, hour by hour you're being outbred, the window of opportunity is closing.

Victory for Conway, can't wait for November.

Discussion in our Lib war room last night centered on this being more anti-McConnell than pro Paul, but the votes for Paul yesterday definetly show some momentum there.

If this is a republican year, how come a democrat won Murtha's seat in a run off election?

Wow, they're more like the Democrats than I imagined.

Hey spidey got 2 questions for you and for anyone else who likes the platitude "we're taking our country back"

1. When exactly was the country taken?
2. Who exactly took it?

Just trying to get a handle on all the frothing about losing the country.

That is the most surprising thing to me of yesterday's elections. Not only did a Dem win in a blue collar district, but the Dem was Murtha's long-time aide and promised to continue Murtha's pork barrel ways, running against a GOP businessman. In it's own small way this seems to me to be an express repudiation of the tea party, a rejection done by their natural base.

It's hard to think of the teabaggers as anything other than a very angry anti-obama movement.

Some points to consider:
- A whole generation (starting with reagan) of ever-increasing public debt and diminishing personal savings.
- As mentioned where exactly were these people during the Bush years? Trillions for wars and the military and billions to industry is perfectly fine as long as you can have a beer with "your guy".
- Bailout anger - remember TARP? The first auto-industry bailout? Remember all the big angry take-back-the-country protests? Yeah, neither do I.
- Remember "Keep government out of my medicare"? All the tea party organizers and members on various forms of public support? Of course, they're entitled to THEIR piece of the public pie, but no one else.
- protest hypocrisy. When people from the left protest, they are jobless unpatriotic hippies that just need to get out of the way. When the right protests, it is patriotic and empowering. Give me a fucking break.

I really can't think of much about the Tea Party that isn't wrapped in this mind-boggling hypocrisy. Good luck selling that to the public at large.
