yup

I'll report on the racing wheel thing. If I can set it up in the controls and still have fps controls separate its ON.

id people working for 6 years. This is a pretty big release. I doubt its dogshit. Stink: yes it has a free world I dont know if it has the dynamic ai that the stalker series has though.

I think main quest is 12 hours but some have said with side quests and exploration your looking at 20-30 hours

So is it true that there are like no video settings outside of picking res, aa, brightness, and gpu encoding and that the game automatically picks the settings so it runs at 60fps.
EDIT: Looks like it is true, stolen from hardocp forums

D'oh... I've been debating purchasing it for awhile, and now without any pre-order bonuses, I might as well just wait until I'll actually play it. Thought it went live at 12AM PST. 😛

EDIT:

Anyone have a good PC review available?

Wow, Ars Technica slammed this game. This is for the 360 version. They'll be reviewing the PC version shortly.

So, just to sum up my nine plus hours with the game so far:

•No story to speak of
•No characters that make an impression
•Linear
•Broken save system
•Dull mechanics
•Tedious quests
•Weak shooting
•Stock weapons
•Racing is fun
•Minigames are enjoyable
•Very pretty

I bit the bullet this afternoon and downed 60$. The game is getting slammed hard by reviews and users. I thought back to Quake 2 and Doom and my youth, and I invested in ID. I hope I didn't make the wrong decision. The wrath is being thrown at this game it seems.

"Best in First-Person Shooting" Game Revolution. That sounds good.

Epic Fail!

A PC game without adjustable graphical settings is like a vegan burger.

OMFG. We've been sold down the river by one of the creators of PC gaming. You've got to be kidding me.

You mean sewers?

Yeah, I was really looking forward to this and was tempted to preorder but am so glad I talked myself out of it.

For everyone that did buy it though, John Carmak made you his bitch.
