Radeon R9 290x QUADFIRE (Hell yeah)

Karlitos should have picked a bigger screen to get 4K worth. 4K is too much pixels to be perceptible on a 28" screen. Get 40" or more to get more benefits of 4k.

At least you no more need to activate AA on games.

I'm against this kind of thinking. We have really good DPI on anything but desktop screens, it was damn time we could get a DPI remotely close to the ones we use to see in mobile devices.

4k on 28'', damn.... being able to scroll an entire Vray material tab with every map turned on, must be one hell of a experience (productivity wise).

Been almost two weeks and guest what? No news or updates from AMD yet.

I really want to throw the F-word at them many many times.

Hey Guskline, I will reply to you very soon :awe: . I didn't really have the time to be on the internet this week. Worked like 85 hours this week.

Sorry KaRLiToS, When I said I'm surprised at no response, I was commenting on the lack of response from AMD, not you. Heck you're busier than a one-armed paper hanger since you work for the power company:thumbsup:

Don't worry, I understood that part correctly.

I am really mad and sad at AMD.

I'm not sure how well Quadfire will work. I had just read a quadfire review at TH, and it appears quadfire rarely improves performance over 2-way crossfire. Even at 4k.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-r9-295x2-crossfire-performance,3808.html

The way the results are, it makes me wonder if it is quadfire support, or maybe a limitation on the new Crossfire over the PCIe lanes technique.

KaRLiToS have you bought any new monitors? In otherwords, are you limited to 2 monitors at present?

Yes it is bought but it hasn't been shipped yet because NCIX will only receive stock on the 28th of April.

Honestly, I have lost all interest I had in gaming since all the freakin issues I've been getting. It is very frustrating, in fact, I'm so frustrated by all this plus the lack of support and/or solutions that sometime I just want to punch in a wall.

I have been experiencing the same interest lost as I had with my Quad HD 7970 when I had the sporadic hang issue that it took them 4-5 months to fix (but almost 14 months after launch) and because we were a group of around 15 people with high-end rigs that were complaining . LINK

I never thought I would say that in my life, but I am DONE with AMD. And I think I am done with high-end rigs. :'(

totally feel your pain.

sometimes feels like..... we just need to settle down and live with single 1440p and only 2x gpu. anything above that combination is a recipe for disappointment.

Damn, that sucks. Can't blame you bro. This is bs and inexcusable.

True.

But 3-4 years ago I had 3 x HD 6970 with the 7680x1440 panels and it was working fine in every games.

Since 6GB Tis are coming, anybody who now buys a Titan black for gaming is retarded.

I hate to say it but most Titan Blacks sold are going to be to gamers. The, "It's a cheap compute card", is just a way of justifying the price by comparing it to the pro cards (Quadro/Firepro).

All the guys who have them on these forums are gamers. Calling them retarded is a bit harsh, though.

Well considering they are handing over more money to Nvidia for no performance increase (sans the release of 6GB Tis) & just the bragging rights to say that I own a Titan Black.

What I said might be harsh, but it would still be true.

Maybe we just need to be in their shoes? 🙂

Anyway, Carl, I thought using native DP sorted it? Did I miss something?

Actually you might be right.

The 6GB Tis are rumored, can't be sure till they are released.
Nvidia might not allow them seeing that it would kill their overpriced Titan Black for Gamers.

Edit: Also I am going to stop de-railing this thread now.

Edit2 : Did some digging.
The 6GB Tis are coming according to an unofficial post by the EVGA rep

Oi karl! You want to be smacked senseless!?!

GET THAT 4K AND ENJOY!

Best purchase I did this last year was that 4k screen... Eyefinity works awesome with it on 1440 with my two qnix screens and I bet that it being a matte and a middle screen it will be more awesome then the previous glossy crossover.

Trust me when I say... once you install it you gonna freaking love gaming again.

Just take my word... stay away from the 14.x drivers for your sanity.... shit drivers fro quadfire+eyefinity.

Yeah, I'm waiting for the 4k panel and I'm very impatient.

I find it just sad that AMD don't answer me since they are aware that I bought a DisplayPort native monitor and it fixes the issue.

What I find even more frsutrating is that they kept telling me that it will be fi but I never saw the light of that solution. In fact, I wonder if they really tried to solve my issue.

I wonder which cards I'll buy next time I change mine.
