Testing it for ya karl!

Thanks man, you are awsome :awe:

If it work perfectly and you like your experience, I'll be aiming for that.

I made some calculation today and according to this:

http://www.avsforum.com/t/1316299/tv-size-chart-for-screen-height-and-width-16-9-4-3
For a 16:9 Widescreen:
Width = Diagonal X 0.87157552765421
Height = Diagonal X 0.490261259680549
SO, a 43 inch 16:9 screen is 36.6 inches wide and 20.6 inches tall.

A 27" is 13,23 inches in panel height and a 28" is 13,73 inches (height).

That is a difference of 0,5 inches, which is 0,25" at the bottom and 0,25" at the top. Not a big gap.

If you weren't happy with the color on the Asus do you think you'll be satisfied with a TN panel?

I didn't really took the time to adjust it VIA the OSD panel but during games it was fine. It's just that it was a little bit YellowIsh. But this can depend on the panels. I have one of my CrossOvers that is much more yellow than the other two that are much colder with more blueish.

Maybe it's me just being picky but I know I'll love a 4K panel ;) .

Okay initial testing on BF4.... Zero crashes on quadfire. Let me repeat... Zero crashes on quadfire.

I am loving it more then usual too... the faster response time on the middle screen is a big bonus compared to my original IPS panels.

You need to test it by yourself to see if it will fit ya karl. My TN is also calibrated so a lot less of that issue.

So you are running 7680x1440 right now?

Karlitos should have picked a bigger screen to get 4K worth. 4K is too much pixels to be perceptible on a 28" screen. Get 40" or more to get more benefits of 4k.

At least you no more need to activate AA on games.

Too expensive.

It seems weird that the adapter that the AMD engineers used is supposed to be exactly the same but they got it to work. I wonder if the manufacturer of the adapter changed something in production after it was certified. They should open it up and see if anything is different.

28'' is not too small to see a benefit from 4k. The eye does not work in FPS or pixels. I suggest going to a store and checking it out. You would be surprised as to what the eye can detect.

That 4k might not let you scale down the res. Mine won't
It's a single tile panel... It's electronics can handle a 4k resolution with no MST.... so... it can scale down with no problems :sneaky:

I know that for a fact... ran it at 1440 and 1080 and even 720 D:

So... ETA on the panel Karl?

Hey King.

NCIX is suppose to receive some stock on the 28th of April.

I am very busy this week. I work for the power company here and a manhole with primary 25kv lines caught fire and everything inside it burned.

Worked 19 hours yesterday and 13.5 hours Friday. :eek:

How does the image look when you down scale? Gaming and text.

So I guess your rig sucking up all that energy is somewhat job security :)
