This one is 50K, but the language is always similar:

Earn 50,000 bonus miles

after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months your account is open.*

This card product is available to you if you do not have this card and have not received a new Cardmember bonus for this card in the past 24 months.

When logged in to your Chase account, you should see 'Credit Journey' and somewhere in there you can see a credit report with various details.

Sorry if I wasn't clear - I am referring to just Chase credit cards and the 5/24 rule. I opened a Chase Ink Business Preferred this past summer and wondering if that counts against something.

I also got a United Explorer Mileageplus flyer in the mail to get a 65k bonus. I know for a fact I got a United card in the past 24 months, however there was nowhere on the flyer that it says anything about not getting the bonus if I have opened a card in the past 24 months. But, it also has a link to go to and I'm guessing it may say it somewhere in there in the fine print.

Also, what is the best way to find out exactly which cards you have opened in the past 24 months? Is it just to get one of those free credit report and try to just figure it out that way?

Ah ok. Chase does not count them. There's always the chance for an error in reporting but then you can just call the Chase reconsideration line, have them pull up your Chase cards and they should be able to see 1 is a business card and the review the application again. That has worked for me in the past anyway. Personally I keep a spreadsheet myself of when I open and close cards but the free reports should work

You have to sign up for that to be able to use it. Not saying its good or bad just noting it is an additional thing with additional terms, conditions, etc considerations

Okay cool thanks. I think I am good then to get 1 more since I got the one mentioned above in the summer, and I believe that would have been my 5th one, but it was business. I will try to look into it more.

Good idea about the spread sheet I should do that as well for moments like this.

I don't remember if credit reports report the opened accounts, as well as opened accounts that have been closed. That's what you'd need in order to review.

As others have said, most of the chase ink cards don't hit your personal credit, although they may if you use your SSN to open them instead of an EIN.

That is a good point.

I opened them with my SSN.

Decided to jump into a credit card rewards promotion train to try and get a free flight for once. We're looking to go to Japan sometime next year, and it seems AA/JAL, you can get premium economy for 100k miles round trip per person. Thanks to a small bank of existing AA miles, a Bilt card that has 1:1 transfer to AA, and Citi's ongoing AA promotion (75k miles if you hit the spend in 4 months), I should be able to get us round trip airfare for 2 to Japan for free, which is pretty great considering flight costs these days.

I don't know what's going on with business cards right now but they've been handing out a lot of really good options lately with almost no bonus eligibility limitations. Chase alone is sending sending us offer flyers in the mail faster than we can use them. My wife closed her Chase Business Unlimited card a week ago and just got approved for a new one. Spend $6,000 in 3 months and get $1,200. We'll be at almost $4,000 in just signup bonuses by mid July. (Our travel this year is constrained for personal reasons, our point stockpile is healthy so we're focusing on these cash offers while they last)

I am just about at the 2 year mark with my SW cards so I will be getting 2 of those by the end of this year most likely. I may however hold off until next Jan to start the accumulation for companion pass just so I have it the extra year. I still haven't decided yet about that part.

Got my flights booked for Spring 2025: my wife and I are going to Japan. Worked out to be ~0.06-0.07/mile on AA (JAL/premium economy for the transpacific flights). Pretty good deal considering: how expensive the flights are in real dollars, and that 3/4 of the miles came from a Citi CC bonus and the Bilt card I use for rent (so basically, free points that were 1:1 transferred to AA), another large chunk from some AA miles I've accumulated through work/personal travel, and the last bit with the mandatory Citi CC spend or the AA shopping portal.

Now just have to keep a periodic eye open to see if award seats open up on the direct flight back (instead of the current itinerary that takes us through another US city) and if any of those magical, JAL cheap business class seats at 60k miles one-way open up.

AMEX Gold 4 lyfe. Maybe platinum when the kids are a bit older and we're traveling more.
I actually got this card a couple months ago.

When I was checking out for a Delta flight, they said if I opened one that I would get $500 credit and also if I spent $4k in 3 months I'd get like 50k miles on Delta.

So I put the flights + airbnb on it and covered the $4k instantly lol.

Other than that though, I don't really use it.

With the changes to Southwest, I may be done with their cards. I got 2 new ones this year and got a companion pass and 150k+ points now, but they aren't worth nearly as much as they used to be. I'd rather just get United points at this point.

The multipliers for points on gold are generally excellent. We don't fly much with youngins, so most of that gets diverted to Amazon purchases....for now.

Outside of major new customer incentives, I just don't have the time or patience to roll cards like some of my buddies do.

A few years? The value of the points is just going to erode with time. And if you can, I don't think you should put off vacations; life is meant to be enjoyed to some degree, and everyone is only temporarily abled.

The best that my credit card provider can apparently do these days in terms of offers is approximately once every 6 months, they're like, "here's some vouchers so you can buy a single bra from us at half-price".

Yeah, I'm dumping the card before my next annual fee hits.

Damn...Chase Sapphire Reserve annual fee going up from $550 to $795 :O

but new credits for Stubhub $300, DoorDash $420 and free apple tv+ and apple music will be included...

View attachment 125830

Here are all of the benefits the card now offers:
Zero interest in any of the new benefits. The only ones I use are the travel credit and the door dash, but we only get benefit out of the free dashpass and the $5/mo credit on restaurants. Zero interest in credit towards retail or grocery purchases.

Apple TV is no interest, Peloton is no interest, stubhub is no interest.

I'll be canceling or downgrading to the CSP. Hard to move away from the Chase ecosystem and the Marriott/United partnership, although I already have a United card that takes most of my flight spending already.

Coinbase sent me a chance to "reserve" my spot for a credit card through them. Saying you can get up to 4% back but it depends on how many assets you have with them...

I just use 4 cards.. citibank 2% cash back (mostly for groceries)

and 3 BoA cards with 3% in 1 category.. mine online purchases, dad (home improvement) and wife (travel).

I haven't quite gotten a system/ card where I can save on Emirates flights because all her flights are overseas.. but 3% on a $1500 ticket is still something.

I shuffle a few cards:

AMEX BCP for groceries (6%) and transit things (3%) - more than pays for the annual fee

Chase Amazon Visa for dining (2%) and transit that doesn't take AmEx. And it gets 3% back at Amazon, but I've pretty much stopped those purchases. I'd product change, but Chase doesn't let you go from a branded card to something else from what I understand.

Bilt for rent, dining, travel

Citi Double Cash as a 2% catch-all

AMeX BCE for online purchases (3%)

Capital One QS - to use occasionally with their click-through referral cash back (eg, 10% back at Blah) and for a few select purchases where I suspect the price could fall a lot (it has price protection, for up to 4 uses per 12 months, with a 90-120 day window after purchase)

And a MilesUp AA card for AA tickets I get for work - double miles on AA purchases. I have this one since I downgraded from the Platinum card to avoid the fee.

If I have a single big purchase coming up in the future, I may find another card to churn, but I usually don't bother.

Yeah I'm still running a gtx 1080.. sometimes I look at credit card offers and then contemplate upgrading.. did that with the 3070, now the RX 9070XT.. but can't seem to pull the trigger.. the 1080 might not give me 144fps but still plays everything fine.

Also the newer cards are longer than the 12 inch length in my case.

well I'm definitely done with this one now. Already annoyed that I again forgot to downgrade before this year starts, but this change is completely hopeless. What garbage.
