To clarify, the Republicans have been stating that there's witnesses that the Democrats have not been permitting to testify, specifically so they can send the message that there's information that the Democrats are keeping under wraps. Hunter Biden has been brought up multiple times, and I'm sure everyone paying attention knows that the Republicans are attempting to muddy the impeachment waters with more mock scandals in order to make it look like this is something where 'well, the democrats did some shady things, maybe trump did some shady things, see, this is all just politics!'. The more Schiff refuses to play this dumbshit game with Nunes the more he attempts to point to this as a 'partisan committee' and 'democratic ousting'.

Most of the people responding to you are being spicy because they've been watching these proceedings, and so far any time anyone has brought up any witnesses that 'haven't been allowed to testify', it's been crowing from the dumbshit Republicans that want to bring in every-fucking-person except the ones who matter specifically to this investigation. Note that the actual people relevant to the investigation have been told to NOT testify by the WH (read: Trump and his administration). The ones we've heard from are the ones that refused that order. The ones we haven't followed it, and I hope they get fucked by the long dick of a federal indictment of obstruction of congress.

They are trying to "Bengazi" Hunter, just like the did with Hillary. Endless fake bullshit dressed up to look like real "congressing." They know their sycophants eat that shit up. Investigation doesn't matter (exactly why Trump never cared about that with Ukraine). They just need the show. The rubes will fucking believe it. Lie lie lie lie lie enough. Just keep lying. lie lie lie lie lie lie, enough fucking morons will believe something must be true in there. "Why lie so much, amirite?" Create enough of a shitshow, pile it miles deep, and the bare assumption will be laid "Well I dunno, he must have done something because look at all this attention!"
...and that is literally the GOP since Newt Gingrich. It is NO FUCKING DIFFERENT. These lying rat-fucking cockstains haven't done dick-all for a single American since that time. Not one fucking goddamn thing. Just lie and shit on their brains until they can't think straight: just vote GOP and we'll keep stoking that brown fear! ...that's basically it. This is straight out of Goebbels, and it isn't anything else. No hyperbole, it is the exact same fucking thing. These are the people you rub dicks with if you vote GOP these days.

And that is exactly what Nunes thinks he can do here. This is why that meth head Jim Jordan was shoved into this committee only a few weeks ago: Just get up there Jimbo and go fucking nuts! People will love that you're a fucking Clown retard! It'll be great! (Don't forget that this is the same guy that raped a bunch of wrestlers)

I already said I don't know who they are. I have no idea who they might be. As I said, the statement is based off of what a couple of the republicans said, taking me to task over it is pointless because I don't have the answers. That's why I said I'd like to here from whoever it is.

Why won't you answer what you have already answered?

You agreed that Hunter and the Whistleblower are immaterial, yet these are the ONLY names they keep repeating.
Do you actually think there are "other people" they want to talk to? Why do you only hear those names, but just assume when they say "other people" a couple of times, that there are actually other witnesses not named Hunter Biden or "the Whistleblower?"

....I mean, how can you take these guys at their word at this point? They've not presented a single substantive argument on any issue in this investigation or in these hearings at this point. They've not refuted a single charge. Not once! They've just attacked the character of completely unimpeachable people. Do you think that this is how grown men should act...let alone elected leaders?

Do you think it's all swell that Lt Col Vindeman's family is now under military protection because of the direct actions of GOP house members? Are you OK with how these men are conducting themselves in that matter...and if not, still assume they are being honest?

I mean, this is how our brains solve problems. It's how we construct meaning out of complex pieces of information. We have to do a lot of inference in our daily lives. It's completely normal. Much of it is unconscious, but when dealing with people, we have to process what we observe, and make many connections from various input and construct meaning out of all of that....The american people have largely judged the GOP house members in these hearings to be sub-adult children. They haven't presented a single substantive argument. From the simplest observation, unsullied by any kind of cherry-picked sound bite, they have made complete, shameless asses of themselves. They've not asked a single fucking question relevant to the matter. They've either asked about fake conspiracy theories or have attacked individual witnesses on a personal level, because they know the facts are not in dispute.

Trump has admitted to what he did. The GOP has admitted to what he did. This is, on this one instance, 10x worse than Nixon. ...and that is the one crime. Trump has obstructed this investigation about 10 times, the Mueller investigation several more (as thoroughly detailed by Mueller--lol, that dude explicitly spelled it out), not to mention all of the bribes he has accepted and continues to accept via his hotels and golf courses. All of the tax payer dollars that he directly funnels to his private wealth, through demanding that so much government traffic go only to his properties. This is corruption on a scale never before seen in this country. It simply hasn't. None of this is in dispute of course. It is fucking plain as day.

...so I just wonder, with all of that clear input, why do you continue to think the people defending this criminal have anything of substance to add to a bunch of mad, empty ravings?

I don't know who wasn't allowed to testify. Biden has nothing to do with it, and the whistleblower doesn't have any direct evidence, so they don't matter. I'm assuming that there are others because of all the noise the republicains made about it. Perhaps there isn't anyone else, I don't know because I haven't heard any names.
I only caught parts of the hearings, and of course the "highlights" reels the news played, so there is a great deal of information I don't have.

It's just that, distractional noise with allusions to right wing conspiracy theories going back to the 2016 election. They mentioned Nellie Ohr who worked for Fusion GPS before the election & Alexandra Chalupa whose revelations about Yanukovych's black ledger forced Manafort to resign as campaign chairman.

Why facts don’t matter to Trump’s supporters - The ...
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/why-facts-dont-matter-to-trumps-supporters/...

Aug 04, 2016 · When critics challenge false assertions — say, Trump’s claim that thousands of Muslims cheered in New Jersey when the twin towers fell on Sept. 11, 2001 — their refutations can threaten people, rather than convince them.

Graves noted that if people feel attacked, they resist the facts all the more.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if the Trump voters just ignored facts again thinking they're under attack from the left, who cares if people get hurt or die, it won't be me or anyone I know.. Go Trump!

And that's the lying bullshit the so call Trumpanzees here are doing through their posts smiling from ear to ear trying to convince us they won't vote for Trump but secretly they can't wait to do it all over again.

People will love that you're a fucking Clown retard! It'll be great! (Don't forget that this is the same guy that raped a bunch of wrestlers)

Jordan didn't do any raping. What he did was ignore the raping and refuse to cooperate with the investigation:

"Jordan was an assistant wrestling coach with The Ohio State University's (OSU) wrestling program from 1987 to 1995.[69] OSU opened an investigation in April 2018 that looked into allegations of sexual misconduct by the former wrestling team's physician, Richard Strauss; Strauss was the team physician during Jordan's tenure as assistant coach.[70][71] Strauss committed suicide in 2005.[72] In early July 2018, at least eight former wrestlers said that Jordan had been aware of, but did not respond to, allegations of sexual misconduct by Strauss.[73][74] In July 2018, Jordan's congressional office released a statement in which he and former head wrestling coach Russ Hellickson denied knowing about Strauss's alleged abuse.[75] Former wrestling team members David Range,[76] Mike DiSabato[77] and Dunyasha Yetts asserted that Jordan knew of Strauss's misconduct. No wrestlers have accused Jordan of sexual misconduct.[78] Jordan was named in a lawsuit against the university by four former wrestlers.[79]

Former Ohio State wrestlers (including ex-UFC fighter Mark Coleman) allege that Hellickson, who was Jordan's mentor, allegedly reached out to two ex-team members and pressured them to support Jordan a day after they accused the congressman of turning a blind eye to alleged sexual abuse. The former wrestlers said their ex-coach made it clear to them he was under pressure from Jordan to obtain statements of support from members of the team.[80] DiSabato has revealed information--corroborated by another former wrestler[81]--indicating that Jordan; his brother, high school wrestling coach Jeff Jordan;[82] and Hellickson each called Coleman’s parents to pressure Coleman to recant his accusation that Jordan knew of the abuse.[83]

Jordan has refused to cooperate with investigations into Strauss.[84] On July 13, 2018, the editorial board of the Cleveland Plain Dealer asserted that "Jim Jordan must acknowledge what he knew".[85] Jordan has responded to the allegations describing his accusers as "pawns in a political plot".[86]

In November 2019, a wrestling referee filed a lawsuit alleging that he had warned Jordan and Hellickson about Strauss' misconduct.[87][88] Jordan dismissed the referee as "another person making a false statement".[89]"

One observation I have noticed and my experience with members of my own family who are big time die hard Trumpies, they absolutely hate the establishment and do not trust government.
They do not trust government yet fail to connect the dots where services like Social Security and medicare and the postal system are all part of the government. Services they rely on and need.
Go figure.....
And... they all voted for people like Ross Perot, George Wallace and Ralph Nader.
Anyone not from the two major parties because they consider that establishment.
So.... along comes Donald Trump, the perfect candidate for them.
And as with the article above, no matter how bad Donald Trump may be or what laws Trump breaks, they... as does Donald Trump... do not respect laws. Especially laws and rules concerning the government. And last but not least they all believe in conspiracies and conspiracy theories.
Just like Donald trump believes.

I think he is fighting off going into a coma.

:p
Nothing on the substance of the hearings? Besides the occasional snark you people (“conservatives”) have gone completely silent. Have you learned anything new since the hearings began? Is the defense of Trump one that still makes sense to you?

They aren't worthy of calling other witnesses, if they exist. Got it.
My view is a little different than that. They claim there are other people with information to share, bring em on. We have nothing to lose. We're at at the party, might as well dance.

The presumption on the part of Republicans is that Trump did nothing wrong, therefore have Pompeo, Mulvaney and all the others who have direct first hand experience with Trump in this matter testify.

The ironic thing is that they appear to be trying to do exactly what Trump was trying to do with Biden. He requested an investigation announced. The actual investigating and/or results are completely irrelevant, you just get someone to say the word 'Biden' and 'Investigation' in the same sentence. Well, the Republicans in the house have been doing the exact same fucking thing. It's no wonder they don't find anything wrong with what Trump did!

This is actually a brilliant summation of what's happening right now. Why on earth would people who voted for Trump care about him breaking rules when they believe the entire system is corrupt?

To a Trump voter this entire impeachment process is just democrats attacking Trump for trying to expose corruption.

Common them I'm hearing so many witnesses came to America because they looked up to our values and the opportunities. Now this country is going to shit and we are hear to speak out.

Notice those are the ones that are doing their patriotic duty.
The natural borns are the ones hiding behind the courts and lawsuits to allow this criminal president to stonewall the truth.

There needs to be a reckoning for all those who refuse to testify once Democrats take back DOJ.

So long as Bob Barr is the attorney general you can rest assured that no executive branch officials need to worry about arrest for contempt of Congress.

Which is why Ds need to take the WH in 20 and put the DOJ back in business.

They cannot allow everyone to walk just because they win the election. Laws need to be enforced.
Deterrence to lying and corruption needs to be real.

My fear and expectation is that right wing echo chamber will keep slinging the bull shit and keep 60 million people convinced the evil dems are out to suppress conservatives. There will be every economic incentive to do so because it will drive book sales and media ratings. The rubes never get tired of being sold this crap.
