Will there be a third act to this TDS driven Kabuki dance? That would be fucking hilarious.

One of the most interesting parts about this to me was watching conservatives morph their thinking in real time.

Back in September when conservatives believed either Trump didn’t condition aid to Ukraine on investigations or that evidence of it wouldn’t come out they all held up that sort of quid pro quo as what would be really wrong, but since Trump didn’t do that it was fine.

The only problem was it turned out that’s exactly what Trump did and the evidence for it was overwhelming. Then you saw the same people switch to saying the thing they previously said was so wrong was really fine after all.

TDS is a hell of a drug I guess. You guys have lost all touch with reality.

Ive heard that republicans announced if they win the house back in November that they would expung the impeachment.

Further there are investigations starting into Hunter Biden and the whistleblower.

Wouldn't all of that being just a kick in the berries for the left... Ultimately the left brought these things upon themselves.

Yes, the complete dissolution of the Republic into a despotic kleptocracy *would* be a kick in the berries for the left, as well as anyone else who actually cares about the country.

NOt a kick in the berries for the left, but a kick in the berries for America. "So this is how liberty dies...with thunderous applause." The US has just decided we don't care if the President abuses his power to rig elections. Republicans have voted that their party is more important to them than fair elections.

Yep. The House performed their duties to perform oversight, the Senate ignored theirs to hold an impartial trial.

How did 'the left' bring these things upon themselves?

The Democrats had a choice - they could either stand up for the Constitution and the country and hold Trump accountable for trying to rig the 2020 election or they could meekly submit like the Republicans did. They chose to stand up for the country.

It was always obvious that when Trump and the other criminals in his administration faced accountability they would try and attack the institutions responsible. Just look at his reaction to the FBI investigating his corrupt campaign, for example. The difference is that if you really believe in America you don't let thugs like Trump stop you from doing what's right, just like the Democrats did. You should be thanking them.

Investigating corruption from the former vice president is a dissolution of the republic? Sounds like the opposite to me. I'm not big on foreign policy being decided by how much money they are willing to give family members.

Also before we mention Trump's children working for the government let's talk about their salaries. Ivanka and Jared Kushner have forgo their white house pay. Hunter Biden has made several million from foreign countries. This is a guy that has no degrees in petroleum, geology that I've heard of. Yet he is worth several million to an energy company?

Revisionist history & revenge? That's a good thing?

Hunter Biden hasn't done anything to warrant GOP wrath other than to be named Biden. Breaking the whistle blower's balls for telling the truth is beneath contempt. At what point of depravity will delicious libruhl tears not be enough?

It's no really no different than her emails. Immediately after taking office, it was announced that Trump would be using his own private server to conduct official business, and the same MAGAs who freaked out over her emails promptly started defending his emails as no big deal.
This shit isn't just hypocrisy either, it's a political agenda to ensure that MAGAs can break the law with impunity, and anyone else who dares oppose their political power can be accused of and even convicted of breaking the law just because they say so, without even any proof or evidence. They'll say that 'leftists' brought it on themselves even.

They've conducted a witch hunt on Trump since day one. It's been a shameful attack since day one. They lost the election fair and square. Instead of taking the defeat like adults they decided to go the route of complete scumbag and claim it was a rigged election. Russia and whatever other garbage they could make up. Then when Trump inquires about Biden they impeach him. American's see right through Democratic scumbaggery. That's why Trump's approval numbers are at the highest point since election. Good job . You just handed Trump another 4 years .

Once again, we see an example where something is only bad when 'leftists' might be doing it, but we're not even allowed to talk about it when Trump and the Republicans are doing the same thing they're accusing others of.

If you gave even the slightest tiniest fuck about corruption and nepotism, you would have done something about Trump's blatant wide-open corruption and nepotism rather than obsessing over this trivial witch hunt about Hunter. But do please keep exposing yourself as a hypocrite.

"inquires"? LOLOL! Attempted bribery isn't an inquiry. Anyway, he got away with it. You should be happy, the way this impeachment went, it'll strengthen Trump's 2020 bid. Tons of red meat for the base, sadly.

The problem is your first paragraph is a complete fabrication. There was no evidence of corruption. I'd ask you to link to some, but you've already demonstrated in this thread you are incapable of doing so. In reference to Trump's children, the money isn't the issue, they already have lots of money. The power is the problem. So just because we aren't paying them is no reason to allow people that are completely clueless, unqualified, and incompetent into some of the most powerful positions in our country. As for the energy company, you do realize energy companies employ people like lawyers all the time, right?

lol. Glad to see you agree Trump is a complete scumbag.

Russia and whatever other garbage they could make up.

If Trump didn’t want his campaign to be investigated they probably shouldn’t have colluded with the Russians as the Mueller report extensively documents. I mean did you even read it?

Then when Trump inquires about Biden they impeach him.

He was impeached for using your tax dollars to get campaign help from a foreign power. Maybe you like the president stealing your money but the rest of us don’t.

American's see right through Democratic scumbaggery. That's why Trump's approval numbers are at the highest point since election. Good job . You just handed Trump another 4 years .
You are seriously living in a fantasy world. I don’t know what sort of media you are consuming but it’s made you utterly delusional.

Odd how Kushner, the guy who is taking no salary, asked Qatar to bail his company out and they declined. Then the US helped enforce a blockade against Qatar which miraculously ended right around the time the Qatari sovereign wealth fund decided to bail Kushner out after all.

Odd how that’s not being investigated.

He's not entirely delusional, in that this is a major victory for Trump, and by extension, his base. Unless something blows up on Trump before November, it's going to be a really tough slog to get a democrat into office. I think we burnt too many matches on the impeachment trial.

Alleging corruption when obviously none occurred is conspiracy theory. Joe Biden just joined the chorus of honest people who wanted the corrupt Shokin out of office. All you have to do to see the truth in that is to read Shokin's Wikipedia page & Google his name-

The fact that Hunter worked for Burisma at the time had nothing to do with it.

I loved the video of the Iowa Trump rally showing how stupid his supporters really are, it's out there for all to see. Been browsing these forums long enough to see the Trump supporters come in here with their obvious lies, and be called out on it. I guess since it's the internet no one cares how stupid they really are, but I wonder if they chat with their liberal friends and co-workers and spout the same useless shit that Trump makes them repeat? The alternative I guess is to admit that their hero really is just a corrupt piece of shit, I suppose it would be akin to a Christian finding out that God really doesn't exist maybe?

But damn, I would expect anyone over the age of 12 to at least admit they like someone despite their obvious flaws, not keep making themselves look absolutely stupid by parroting the things they know are wrong, and trying to defend the indefensible. It's like the Trump mind control lowers the IQ to under 90 once you drink the Kool Aid.

Yes, they are real. Trump has fucked up families because it has come to the point that his ownership of their brain has made many people impossible to live with it, even among families that used to enjoy each other.

Trumpism is a disease, it really is unlike "simple conservatism." It only exists because of conservatives, but it's an entirely new strain that is wholly impervious to the simple fixes like literacy, curiosity, self-regard, shame, and basic logic. It used to me that traditional conservatives could be dragged out of their common irrationality with a simple appeal to their professed morality, but that no longer exists in Trumpland.

I doubt the impeachment trial will factor meaningfully one way or the other on the presidential vote. It's probably a pretty big boost to the Democrats in Senate races though.

Trump investigating corruption? The same Trump found guilty of stealing money earmarked for cancer kids, Trump? Who the fuck are you kidding?

Corruption was his cover story. Besides State Dept and DOD already cleared Ukraine for corruption and the money was approved.

Your lying and dishonesty matches Trump

They've conducted a witch hunt on Trump since day one.
Have you considered it is because he has been corrupt since day 1?

They lost the election fair and square.
Well, they lost the election. There seems to be some evidence at least that it was not fair, that Trump enlisted foreign powers to assist in that endevour, which is what they were trying to investigate, but Trump has blocked that investigation at every turn.

Instead of taking the defeat like adults they decided to go the route of complete scumbag and claim it was a rigged election. Russia and whatever other garbage they could make up.

There is some evidence pointing at that very conclusions. If our democracy is something we value this sounds like something worth investigating, don't it?

“That’s all you heard at the beginning of this Witch Hunt Hoax. And now Russia has disappeared because I had nothing to do with Russia helping me to get elected.” - Trump

On Wednesday Mueller said his two-year investigation had “established that the Russian government perceived it would benefit from a Trump presidency and worked to secure that outcome”.

Mueller’s report states that “the Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election in sweeping and systematic fashion”.

“If we had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said that.” -Mueller

According to [Rick] Gates, by the late summer of 2016, the Trump Campaign was planning a press strategy, a communications campaign, and messaging based on the possible release of Clinton emails by WikiLeaks.

Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Trump proclaimed. He added, “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”

In what world are all these things not at least worth investigating?

You may be correct, in that that it is still early for Trump's victory to stir up and turn out even more of his supporters. I do really hope you are correct on potential success for Dems in Senate races.
