As I know many conservatives were very concerned about decorum in office presumably they will be here any minute to ask Trump to resign for calling former leaders of the FBI 'scum'.

"He's just telling it like it is"

"Gotta drain the swamp and down with the deep state"

Now he's attacking Steve Scalise's wife again.

Trump is giving his victory lap/spike the football talk. It's classic Trump in extemporaneous mode. In other words, it's complete batshit. He's doing nothing but venting and airing all the grievances of the past 3 years. He's pulling out all the stops: stories about big powerful friends of his who come up to him and offer him praise. A story where somebody calls him "Sir". Slamming "bad cops", the Steele Dossier, FISA courts, corrupt Democrats, Mueller and on and on and on and on.

And: standing behind the podium with the presidential seal, he called it all "bullshit". This is where we are now: the POTUS needs to be put on a 5 second delay. Trumpism is a mental disease.

It must be exhausting for him to spin that many plates at once.

I like how he also confessed to the crime he was impeached for and basically confessed to obstructing justice by firing Comey. I bet Susan Collins is glad he learned his lesson.

I see more blue on the map in the future. Damn editor.
How do you manage to put your pants on in the morning?

And back to talking about Trump (the actual subject of this thread). How do you feel about him using the national prayer breakfast as a venue to air his grievances over impeachment. Does that seem to be the Christian thing to do?
He thought it was a Festivas celebration.

One of his classic babbling incoherently spectacles. Something about record- breaking blood loss, baseball, and wives who are glad when their husbands die.

I thought this was interesting. The phrase "religion as a crutch" is generally understood to mean the atheistic view that religion is for people too weak to face reality. And this probably is an accurate description of Trump's own views on the subject. Trump pulled the phrase out of the dim recesses of his addled memory -- and totally misapplied it to Romney's decision. He was probably shooting for "religion as an excuse/rationalization", but vocabulary is not his strong suit.

I'm old enough to remember when conservatives pretended to be outraged that the president said people cling to their religion. As they totally aren't hypocrites I can only assume they will be similarly outraged now.

Yet another display of an ironic lack of self-realization. If Trump, and conservatives that still support him, were capable of standing on their own two feet, they wouldn't believe what they do; that someone else is responsible for all their ailes (which someone else has kindly identified for them).

It's what I said earlier. He was negotiating directly with our biggest enemy to work a deal whereby he could get re-elected, and then do their bidding (cancelling the joint American-European missile defense shield). Doing it before-hand would jeopardize his re-election. He suborned US security interests, and that of our allies, to his political ambition.

Once he was re-elected, he did exactly that.

One would think by the new standards of removal this would rank up there.

jesus fucking christ.

Obama never asked the Russians help to get re-elected. He asked them to hold off the negotiations until after the election to give him more flexibility. Countries usually don't want to deal with lame duck Presidents. The flexibility was NOT about helping him get re-elected. You can disagree with Obama's decision to change the original plan by the Bush administration but there was NO PERSONAL BENEFIT to doing so.

I give you A for effort and F for execution.

If Trump had done this, everyone (or at least any honest person among us) knows exactly what would've happened.
You missed one fact Trump boy. What Obama did was all out in the open. Trump tried to hide everything going through Rudy. If what Trump was doing was legitimate he would have gone through the State Dept.

I loved the video of the Iowa Trump rally showing how stupid his supporters really are, it's out there for all to see. Been browsing these forums long enough to see the Trump supporters come in here with their obvious lies, and be called out on it. I guess since it's the internet no one cares how stupid they really are, but I wonder if they chat with their liberal friends and co-workers and spout the same useless shit that Trump makes them repeat? The alternative I guess is to admit that their hero really is just a corrupt piece of shit, I suppose it would be akin to a Christian finding out that God really doesn't exist maybe?

But damn, I would expect anyone over the age of 12 to at least admit they like someone despite their obvious flaws, not keep making themselves look absolutely stupid by parroting the things they know are wrong, and trying to defend the indefensible. It's like the Trump mind control lowers the IQ to under 90 once you drink the Kool Aid.

Put two and two together. You know the truth but your brain is still wired like a primitive caveman. You can't get past the group/tribe rah rah that your neanderthal ancestors passed on to you. Learn to think critically and for yourself then we could possibly have a real conversation. Hard to have one otherwise.

C'mon bunky. You made a claim now back it up.

Will there be a third act to this TDS driven Kabuki dance? That would be fucking hilarious.

The most toxic, substanceless poster I’ve seen yet on this form and some guy I have on ignore crawl out of the woodwork. Not during the impeachment to make actual arguments of course but to prove that all TDSuckers are exactly like the ones in that Iowa rally. It’s a hive mind of the least intellectually capable.
