PS3 U.S. Launch date: November 17th

Two Models: 20GB ($499) and 60GB ($599)

2 Millions Units at launch and another 2 million by the end of december. 6 million units shipped worldwide by March 31.

The PS3 is the Dual shock, only it has 6 Degrees of free motion built in so you can control a plane for instance by moving the controller up, down, and side to side. And it is wireless using Bluetooth technology.

Eh if you want a blue ray palyer..this is a good deal..

I dont want one tho since I dont have a HD TV.

I KNOW HDTV Is great and everything but I think these companies are going to far with it. Yes it will be the standard someday..but I am not taking advantage of the HDTV stuff and a lot of consumers arnt going to either.

$100 for an extra 40gig? they got to be kidding.

although MS screwed everybody over w/ the 20gig for $100.

Considering what else was in the premium box you actually got more than buying everything seperate

By the time the PS3 comes out, 360 Premium will be $300...could be bad for Sony. Luckily for them they have a loyal fanbase (deservedly so, PS and PS2 were solid consoles). If Microsoft manages to get 40% or more of the market, it's a huge loss by Sony. Microsoft can afford to put billions into their console, Sony at the moment can't afford it quite as much.

Hmmm...

I thought the price wasnt bad.

I want to see some real actual graphic comparisons of PS3 and 360 side to side, same game, same res.

Seems pretty nice. Isnt Microsoft supposed to have a Wii like controller too?

Thats what they hoped for with the ps2 and it worked..

thats why they did it this time..hoping it works again.

Personally I think $499 is a bargain. A next gen console, and a blueray disk for 500 bucks. Just imagine what you would have to shell out for a PC. If I bought the computer I have right now, it would cost way more than 500 bucks and It wont be as good as PS3 nor will it have Blue-ray. Now just how much is it going to cost to build a PC to get up on par with PS3. You are going to have to wait for conroe, wait for DX10 cards and either SLI or Crossfire them and buy a PPU and 2gb or ram.

ahhhhahahaha motion sensor in the controller. You've gotta be kidding me!!!

Remember when Nintendo didn't want to release details on Revolution's controller because every controller innovation they come up with someone else rushes to the market first??

That's just funny.

They had to do something. Nintendo was getting a bad image of having no info at all and people thougth the system was gonna be nothing at all. They did a FANTASTIC JOB hyping there system of to a good level.

see if it pays off tomorrow.

I'm very surprised that the price is that low. I wonder what else will come with the premium box. Is the price difference only for the bigger hard drive? I'll bet it comes with extra things, like the XBox

XBox 360 cost the same and it didn't have as much as the PS3 is going to have. Demand will be higher.

I'm going to buy one.
