they didn't "do the same bans", not even close.

that is fake news and just plain wrong.

http://www.apnewsarchive.com/2017/A...-the-Unit/id-ae29065a56b44e68a7706b786860019d

you are repeating the Liar in Chief's BS.
Not much doubt for whom Ms. Caldwell voted.

TRUMP, also in Sunday's statement: "To be clear, this is not a Muslim ban, as the media is falsely reporting. This is not about religion — this is about terror and keeping our country safe. There are over 40 different countries worldwide that are majority Muslim that are not affected by this order."

THE FACTS: Trump is right that there are many majority-Muslim countries that have not been included in the travel ban. But he's also being misleading. The executive order signed Friday does not specifically say Muslims can't visit the U.S., but it does create a temporary total travel ban for citizens of seven majority-Muslim countries. It also indefinitely bans Syrians.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani recently told Fox News that Trump had asked him to create a plan for a Muslim ban that would meet legal tests. Giuliani said he ultimately made recommendations that focused on security and what countries posed security threats.
Although she claims Trump is being misleading, there is absolutely nothing in what she quoted that supports that assertion. By her "logic", any action that restricts any Muslim would be a "Muslim ban".

I love it. People are finally waking up to the threat of conservatism and becoming engaged. It would have been better if they did so in November, but better late than never.

I don't think that's fair. Conservatism as a principle has nothing to do with the narcissism and immaturity of Trump, or the hate of Bannon. This is more like fascism mixed with a head injury.

I think Max Boot pretty much nails it, on a number of points : http://foreignpolicy.com/2017/01/30...irst-week-in-office-trump-eo-nsc-immigration/

"This is looking very much like the Bannon Regency. It was Bannon and his sidekick Stephen Miller, a young former aide to senator-turned-attorney general nominee Jeff Sessions, who, according to the Wall Street Journal, wrote Trump’s kick-them-in-the-teeth inaugural address. And it was the two Steves who, according to CNN, ran the rollout of the immigration executive order on Friday afternoon, doing an end run around the normal interagency process and overruling the Department of Homeland Security to insist that the entry ban apply to hundreds of thousands of permanent residents who happened to hail from one of the seven banned Muslim countries."

I think people are waking up to the threat of mental illness and guidance from a racist hatemonger having WH authority. They're used to the normal GOP schtick and their elected followers, but now Trump has shown us that his "campaign talk" wasn't "just talk" after all. We've had so many unprecedented events of late, I won't rule out Trump getting impeached. He gores enough cows or gets any more detached from the grown-up table and Pence just might Pounce. I get the impression some evangelicals and pro-Israel types within the GOP would be just fine letting Trump and Bannon out at a highway rest stop, then flooring it.

You know, you may have had an argument if Trump's ban didn't single out Muslims. What other conclusion can one come to when Trump's ban specifically states that the minority religions in those 7 countries are exempt from said ban?

There is no "frenzy" just more "progressive" paid for and DNC media manufactured tantrums complete with Marxist Media laudatory collusion coverage. The DNC owns all the thug mob street violence and staged protests..their funding and fingerprints are all over it.

I'm sure you have lots of evidence to support those claims right?

None of these "protest" mobs are spontaneous or organic in nature...they are all staged events "flash mobbed" on social media.

Did Trump campaign on a Muslim ban, or not? Why are you apologizing for a fascist mad man? This is the hill you want to die on? I recommend you get on board with the rest of us trying to protect a persecuted minority. Did you see the pictures of children in handcuffs? I promise, it only gets uglier from here on out.

The Rudy Giuliani interview was about as damning as you can get.

Went for a walk outside my apartment to restaurant row to grab some dinner a few blocks from my place. Ran into a protest about the immigration ban. Everyone was polite, orderly and left room on the sidewalk for pedestrians to get through. Nice.

Liberals don't get their way so they throw temper tantrums. Been happening since November 8. Can't wait for the SCOTUS pick.

You mean like the temper tantrum the right throw by not having hearings on Obama's legal SCOTUS pick?

It doesn't matter. What's important is that "liberals" are upset. *That's* what matters.

I'm voting the latter.

Christian genocide? I assume you have stats of the number of people killed by religion in each country to support that meme right?

Trump nominates.... Hillary!

Liberals heads explode
Hillary now becomes the daughter of Satan for no other reason than Trump

Note - this is not a pro Trump comment. It's a comment on how stupid people are. Where were the protests when the Obama admin denied refugee status to groups that were being butchered by ISIS and both sides of the Syrian conflict? By that I mean the Yazidi (sp) and Christians. Where were the protests when Obama had US citizens killed without due process? You were sucking off your anatomically correct Obama dolls and buggering yourselves with them. You don't give a rat's a** about the refuges any more that Schumer does.

You just a bunch of stupid, petulant, spoiled brats that didn't get your way last November. Sucks for you that you let Hillary and the DNC rig the primaries and you were stuck with a hag that enough people hated to a point that they believed they had no other recourse than to vote for Trump. But hey, you're incapable of accepting responsibility for anything. Superior life forms have evolved beyond such things, right?

It was so successful for BLM and the Occupy Wall Streeters. What can possibly go wrong?

The anti-Trump protests are vastly larger (1-2% of the ENTIRE US population). We are talking about millions of protestors around the country. This is a historic level of protests that hasn't been seen since the Vietnam war and the Civil rights movement. Those protest movements were both successful.

If the protests remain PEACEFUL and MAMMOTH, they will have a powerful impact. An examination of history proves that.

The Women's Marches which took place across the United States to protest Donald Trump's inauguration may have been the largest – and most peaceful – day of protest in US history.

Somewhere between 3.3 million and 4.6 million marchers made their presence known across the United States, yet no arrests were reported at the largest protests across the nation in Los Angeles, Washington D.C., New York, Chicago or Seattle.

That's according to political scientists from the Universities of Connecticut and Denver, who are compiling a mammoth spreadsheet listing march turnouts from the roughly half a million that demonstrated in Washington to the single protester who picketed Show Low, Arizona.

The Revolutionary War started with protests.....

Holy hell, the condescension is strong here.

Despite your presumptions, many of us didn't give Obama a free pass. Denying refugee status is a problem. Drone strikes (including against US civilians) certainly went too far. But there's a big difference between that and what Trump is doing: banning all refugees for months, indefinitely banning Syrian refugees and implementing policies that make it clear this is about picking one religion over another (prioritizing Christians, for example). Obama's decision was tragic; Trump's is not only a larger tragedy, but a reflection of fundamental ignorance, hatred and spite.

Cowards like you demand conformity, submission and mindless obedience just because the election's over. That will never happen. Clinton may not have been a great candidate, but it's clear that Trump was a far worse candidate in practice. We will remind you of that every day until Trump is forced out of office, and there is nothing you can do to stop us.
