Watching some vids from the airport protesters. There were a lot more at more places than I imagined.

This is democracy in action. It's beautiful.

It will not change much to a tone-deaf administration, but it is a fact of setting the record straight.

We will not go quietly into the mix regardless of what chump is holding the white house.

Give some props to your protesters!
 
I love it. People are finally waking up to the threat of conservatism and becoming engaged. It would have been better if they did so in November, but better late than never.

If this passion stays for 4 years we will see a sweep of the gov out of conservative hands. They alienate so many people they cant ban them all.

Because those hundreds of thousands of travelers that missed flights, got delayed or just couldn't make it to the airport are going to be so HAPPY with the protesters that these busy people are going to rush out and join the ranks of the perpetually tantrum throwing protesters. It worked so well with the Occupy Wall Street protests that it's going to be an even bigger triumph for the Democrats.

Do you have evidence that this statement, "hundreds of thousands of travelers that missed flights, got delayed, or just couldn't make it to the airport", is even true?

We should just brush off their concerns anyway like the administration is doing for people detained. After all, it's just a few people who were temporarily inconvenienced in getting to their flights out of some huge number of travelers.

Liberals don't get their way so they throw temper tantrums. Been happening since November 8. Can't wait for the SCOTUS pick.

The people protesting were already awake. Politically motivating people in urban centers really isn't going to meaningfully shift the conversation. Once the protests start happening in rural areas and the rust belt, I would start celebrating

Agreed that no one should be celebrating victory yet, but it's important that people are getting mobilized and are crystal clear about where they stand. It's no longer a simple political disagreement on things like tax rates, or even health care approaches, it's a fundamental split. As far as urban vs rural, we'll see how things develop there once the rust belt's dreams of Trump promised American "greatness" are dashed.
