LOL I didn't have my glasses on, can't see a darn thing!
Congratulations on 5th place.
It's good to have visitors, thanks for stopping by Bill. Congrats to EVGA too. Now tell your guys to quit taking points from us in the Formula BOINC.
Formula BOINC, whats that?
Too bad its so warm out, would of loved to go all out in in the PG challenge. My walls were melting as it was.
Not sure how good it is for my guitars the temp changes from these challenges.
I know its not good for my electric bill...
Thanks Ken for all the stats updates and such.
Good race all.
I've been so busy that I haven't even been checking up on all threads. Good race all, I had no way that I did that well! Unfortunately, the spousal unit decided to look at the power bill, so a couple of machines are "on vacation" until cool weather can justify their energy use.
Time for another bump already. The next PrimeGrid race starts shortly before the next FB race ends!
321 LLR is the very first (CPU) project, when you go to edit your PG preferences.
Less than 23 hours away from the start, and the POGS Sprint still has 27 hours. Yeah.
So its CPU only for this event? If so that will work out good for my Xeon to have something to do.
Yeppers, CPU only.
Replace the two occurrences of "4" by what you think is best on your host.
I have one task running with -t4 on a Xeon E3 4C/8T now, and "top" shows a CPU utilization of 385...388 %. Ideal scaling would be 400 %. Therefore I suspect that large thread counts are not advisable, but this remains to be tested.
Thanks Stefan. And....this race officially started about 20 minutes ago, for those partaking. I will pursue a different project, after finishing up my POGS Sprint contribution, but you should see me on the score board eventually.
It's been an hour and they haven't updated the scores? Oh: "Recent average CPU time: 36:56:49" I see.
I wager Ken will be one of the first 5 to return a result!
EDIT: I lost that bet. The first ten results are in.
Nope, I was still trying to pull out a Formula BOINC win.
@bill1024, this spot is comfy.
Lol Stefan. I had to dig back a few pages to figure out what you were talking about.
I did a little bit of spying actually.
Looks like you guys can slow down now, our big guns are having issues.
Save your electric for the next challenge, do some WCG or something.
Bill, I have it on good authority that our xii5ku is too vain to let those seti.ger guys pass him.
Day 1 stats:
3_____2314304____Czech National Team
Boy, it's weird being ahead of Tony. Especially this far back from the leaders.
Well, 5th place is good. And the team behind us looks familiar. Hi, @yodap! Edit: And @bill1024
Thanks gor the stats Ken.
I finally got a couple done
Day 2 stats:
2_____6216306____Czech National Team
Well, EVGA has passed @StefanR5R. So we'll all be needed to keep our 5th place this time. Seems like there's more participation in this race - I didn't fall below #100 last time.
I've got everything cranked up as far as I can.
Day 3 stats:
2_____10516294___Czech National Team
I'm aiming for 200K myself.
Day 4 stats:
2_____14632837___Czech National Team
Boy, the forum is quiet. Must be race burnout. I know I'm looking forward to a break.
