God, Microsoft makes me angry... "testing"... yeah right, they're just too lazy to upload the demo. You guys with real PCs at the moment better enjoy it!

The MP is insane IMO. Like old school Quake3 action, but with maps made by MC Escher.

Nope, runs steady smooth FPS. Then again, I do have a SLI rig. (thats with 4xAA, 16xAF, TRSS, and Gamma AA and Gamma AA is free though, no performance hit)
Anyone else think the topic title should be changed to "Prey Demo (now) Availible".

Nice Demo. Very smooth with max settings, 6xAAA/16HQAF.
Do I need 24bit Z buffer depth? I have it enabled but quite honestly this is my first experience with an OpenGL title on the PC.

i give prey gfx a big fat meh/10
it's just d3
with 11tybillion overdone specular highlighted textures
the tearing is incredibe without vsync (no other engine tears like this for me without vsync)
...gameplay could be fun tho...
runs very nicely on my 6600GT tho..i didn't expect to be able to run a mid 2006 game with 2xAA/8xAF at 1024 and every detail maxed

Prey is D3D, not OpenGL.

Then they did an excellent job on converting the D3 engine from OGL to D3D... :disgust:
