The EU should return the favor.Travel ban from Europe? The virus is already here and spreading. What about public health measures domestically instead of a "blame other countries" approach?
That was my prediction in another thread...lololRepeat after me....suspend election

Did you see the heated argument between John Kasich and Don Lemon over that very thing? Trump screws up in a written address to the nation and then has to do backsies. Kasich tried to blow it off and deflect but Don wasn't havin' itThe fact that he accidentally announced the economic embargo of Europe and then had to take it back is not comforting.
These guys are in way over their heads.
That looks like a normal travel day to me. Bedlam not found. Thanks Trump.

That stupid people will panic isn't by any means abnormal.I suspect that the emptying of wallets isn't normal. The ban, of course, is a sham or else no one from Europe including Americans would be allowed in, or anywhere for that matter. But we may give another gift to people who openly admit to pocketing tax breaks for themselves- how nice.
Not advocating violence but the GOP is much like the French nobility before the Revolution, which didn't end well for them.
Dems are going to block it anyway. Payroll is not important. Maybe they'll compromise and include it with other things like extended unemployment and payment for the sick, etc.
Nancy Pelosi made a statement saying the payroll tax was a great idea and saying "today is a victory for all Americans."
Oh wait, that was when Obama did it. She'll no doubt make a complete 180 in her view now that the opposition party is in the WH and no doubt the GOP will likewise completely change their stance on it. Not to mention probably 99% of the posters here on ATPN as well. Basically every single question in Washington is 100% driven by purely partisan concerns nowadays.

White House Considers Payroll Tax Cut that GOP Opposed During Obama Years
The Trump Administration is considering cutting the Social Security payroll tax to prevent an economic downturn, something that seemed more justified when enacted in the aftermath of the Great Recession—when congressional Republicans largely opposed it. Cart before the horse. Nancy wants to get something passed to help with what is currently happening. COVID-19 and people losing pay because they have no sick time is the immediate concern. Markets are reacting BECAUSE OF COVID-19Nancy Pelosi made a statement saying the payroll tax was a great idea and saying "today is a victory for all Americans."

Please be serious, you know for a fucking fact that the payroll tax cuts in 2011 has zero in common with a proposed payroll tax right now.Nancy Pelosi made a statement saying the payroll tax was a great idea and saying "today is a victory for all Americans."

Voters take the virus a lot more seriously than the president does. Only 8% of voters agree with Trump’s claim that the virus is a Democratic hoax, while 82% think the virus is real. Only 16% of Trump’s own voters agree with him that the virus is a hoax.
Trump’s handling of the coronavirus could threaten his reelection. By a 20-point margin, voters say his administration’s handling of the virus makes them less likely to vote for him this fall. Independents say they’re less likely to vote for Trump by 32 points because of how he’s dealt with this issue. Only 37% of voters agree with Trump’s assessment that his administration is doing a “great job” dealing with the coronavirus, while 53% disagree.
Voters are also concerned about the administration’s failure to commit to an affordable coronavirus vaccine – 67% of voters have serious concerns about the administration’s statement that “they can’t control that price.” 61% of voters also have serious concerns with the administration’s advice –“tell people to turn their televisions off for 24 hours” -- in response to the historic decline in the stock market.

Of course it would. It's stapling a band-aid into a neck wound, and hitting an artery.A payroll tax cut would hit Social Security and Medicare pretty hard...
