I'm going to lite some candles, go into a trance and look into the future!

Muwahaha... the money is all minez! 🙂

Wait... I see the first number.

"What is it oh satan? What's the first number?

2! The number 2 is the first number.

I bet the couple dozen match 5 winners are all bittersweet about winning $1-2million.

On a $1 million win . . the roughly $550,000 after-tax balance invested in VWEAX would provide around $33,000 before-tax annual dividends. Downside is that most income gets jacked up into the highest 39.6% federal tax bracket for the win tax year.

I spent all of $4 on Powerball. I was inspired literally at the last moment to try a different set of numbers (that would have lost anyway), but I was told that the usual closing time on the final day is changed from 9:30PM CST to 9:00 PM when the draw amount is particularly large. I saved $2. The scratch off I bought in its place paid $15.

I still have not decided what to do with my winnings. 😱

Roll it into the Powerball of course.

1.3 billion? Good gravy. And it'll probably be even higher than that once Wednesday comes due to all of the extra sales.

I can't tell if that is the current total or what they are estimating for wednesday. It says "estimated jackpot" 1.3billion. They don't normally say estimated, do they?

It's definitely going to piling up quickly, but a 350mill jump from the night before seems rather steep...or maybe not.

News was showing absurdly long lines for people just buying tickets. That doesn't make sense to me, unless so many of these tards insist in picking their own numbers? that has to make things infuriatingly slow

Maybe it won't climb as rapidly this time as it did last time - plenty of morons have probably run out of extra spending money. I'll spend $2 for the office pool - not in case I win, but as insurance that I'm not the only one at work the following day.

they news keeps reporting of people standing in line to buy tickets. where the fuck does this happen?

i got one on Friday at the gas station, was in and out in under a min

It always says estimated because they don't have actual ticket sales tallied until the morning after.
