just saw THERION - to mega therion 's video.. *BARF***

that has got to be the worse excuse for a music video evar!!!
cut to old house (i think they were going for the cathedral look, coulda fooled me there
rolleye.gif
), cut shot to 8 people you could tell is lip synching the chorus, cut to band playing in a recording studio. WTF!!! do this infinum times, that is their finished product.

i've see early 80's, not financially strong bands like megadeth (80's mind you) make better videos than that garbage

too bad too, since to mega therion is a sweet song.

edit: oh yeah, almost forgot, by the mid part started to have asyn with the music and the visuals. :|

Metal bands can't make videos, that's a well known fact ;)

If you wanna see something really bad, get hold of Rhapsody's Holy Thunderforce video.

lol Sunner, I was just going to say that. Rhapsody are so cheesy, it's excellent. :)

Kalster, if you like "We Will Rise," get Arch Enemy's CD "Anthems of Rebellion," from whence it came. I bought it a few weeks ago, and it only left my CD player once I bought the new Dream Theater CD. It rocks hard. You'll love it. Also, check out their previous CD "Wages of Sin," which boasts the song "Ravenous."

Ugh... Then Cradle of Filth's videos are a lot better.

The choir you hear on Therion's Theli (the album with to Mega Therion) is the actual North German Radio Choir, so they should have been able to afford a decent video if they could get a professional choir for the CD. But maybe they didn't care about a video, and only made one because the record company pressed them for it. They've never had problems finding classical choirs or singers as a lot find it very interesting to do something so entirely different and yet the same.

Be sure to check out Nightwish, IMO they have THE BEST mix of opera, symphony and metal ever. FantasMic. That song is to die for!

Anyway, I will just mention some of mine:

Iced Earth - Dante's Inferno - a true musical epic, I love it!

Apocalyptica - Toreador II - I simply love their mix, its great.

Dark Tranquility - Not Built to Last - I actualy have all their stuff, but this is one of the defining songs. Leaves me breathless after a close listening! Also, Lethe and others.

Meshuggah - Future Breed Machine, Sould Burn - holy crap, it takes a long time to get into these songs...but once you do...

Therion - hell, the whole Secrects of the Runes album! - The original opera/metal band I belive.

Nightwish - ALL OF THEIR STUFF. I love them, but especially Fantasmic, Nymphymaniac Fantasia, Elvenpath, She is my sin, Kinslayer, stargazers etc etc etc. I really really love these guys and gal :D
