VW Cabrio definately...

I see alot of votes for Miata. Funny how most of those voters probably drive FWD econoboxes like Civics.

A Miata driver here...

I'd like to quote Ron Jeffries from the Z4 (E85) Message Board at roadfly.org: I've had tons of cars. In terms of fun per dollar, among new cars, the Miata was the clear winner. It's not as much fun as a Z ... but it only costs 60% as much. And they are way fun. A lesser being, but worthy of sitting at the table.

the idea that the miata handles well and is a "fun" car doesn't take away from the fact that you look like a complete f@g driving one.

Let's review this list:

Mazda Miata - great car: RWD, convertible, handles like an old Triumph or MG, very fun to drive
VW New Beetle - being an old aircooled bug fan, I don't like these much, but a 1.8T is not wussy
Ford Focus - considering they make a rally car version of these, I can't call it wussy
PT Cruiser - fugly car, but I hear the new turbo version has some balls
That Mini car thing - not at all wussy
Ford Escort - wussy, but they were built that way
Any Saturn - built for wusses
Mercury Cougar - wannabe Integra
Pink Cadillac - no one disses on the Pink Cadillac, ok?
VW Cabrio - women's car, yes... wussy? no
Any Geo - award-winning level of wussiness
VW Jetta - sports sedan for women, but not wussy

btw, BillGates, what do you drive?

When I see a guy driving a Miata, the last thing I think is that he's gay. I think "That guy appreciates good cars".... but then again, I don't have to build my manly Civic or whatever up by insulting true sports cars.

You will find these in the back of a Miata too.

Based upon how many people in this thread that a specific car is "gay" or "homo" or "i love you" etc. I think my assumption that the majority of the voters are insecure males between the ages of 18 and 21 holds true.

I own a VW New Beetle and a VW Jetta, I've also owned a early 80's convertible VW Rabbit (the ones that VW based the original Cabrio design on). I've driven many different cars in my life and in reality don?t believe that any of the cars on that list (with the exception of Geo Metros, which aren?t even made anymore) are something that should truly be considered "Wussy". In fact the only car that was mentioned here that I think can truly be called "Wussy" is an "Echo".

Everyone gets their opinion and you can all think what you want. I dislike the vast numbers of people who drive SUVs and Trucks in place of a Minivan, I also hate to see Honda Civics get treated like race cars. I?ve owned and driven both for a number of years so I have a pretty good idea about what both are like. These however are just my opinions and one of the great things about freedom is the ability to buy and drive whatever you want (and can afford) and the right to present your opinions. Let me make one thing clear, just because YOU THINK that a specific type of car is "Gay" or "Homo" or whatever the politically incorrect catchphrase of the week is doesn?t make it so.

Claiming that a specific car is "Homosexual" indicates 2 things:
1. That you are an expert on that specific car and know exactly how it drives and how it handles, plus all the advantages/disadvantages to owning one.
2. That you are an expert on being homosexual.
If you are not BOTH of these please don?t suggest otherwise.

I propose that rather than taking a poll (if you really want to know what is and isn?t ?Wussy?) you devise a rating scale to help determine, here are a few examples of things you could base your decisions upon:
0-60 times (both base model and modded)
horsepower (again base model and modded)
1/4 mile times (ditto)
looks (subjective)
handling
etc
etc

My 2 cents

If by base model, you meant overpriced $23,000 1.8L Turbo S model, then yes, I agree with you completely. Try 115hp, 122ft-lb for the 2.0L base model; 90hp, 155ft-lb for the 1.8L Diesel; and 150hp, 162ft-lb for the 1.8T Turbo (non-S).

it's really really close between the VW Cabrio and the VW Beetle. I voted Cabrio because it is such a girls car. but the beetle really comes close.

none of the others aren't even close to being in the same league as the 2 vw's.

And which base model might this be?

The only model with 170+ ft.lbs is the Turbo S, and it's the most expensive model. Nice try.

what's that car that like half a car and made for city driving? It's freakin tiny as heck. It's smaller than the mini I think..unless it is a mini...if I knew I wouldn't be asking

anyways...THAT is the wussiest car.

By the way, how is a Mini wussy? It performs well, has amazing handling for a FWD car, and has decent room for its size. You know what a wussy car is? Chevrolet Avalanche. You can be damn sure the driver of one of those has issues.
