ZV

A Miata driver here...

I'd like to quote Ron Jeffries from the Z4 (E85) Message Board at roadfly.org: I've had tons of cars. In terms of fun per dollar, among new cars, the Miata was the clear winner. It's not as much fun as a Z ... but it only costs 60% as much. And they are way fun. A lesser being, but worthy of sitting at the table.

the idea that the miata handles well and is a "fun" car doesn't take away from the fact that you look like a complete f@g driving one.

Try driving the Miata like a man, then you'll look less of a f@g.

I own a VW New Beetle and a VW Jetta, I've also owned a early 80's convertible VW Rabbit (the ones that VW based the original Cabrio design on). I've driven many different cars in my life and in reality don?t believe that any of the cars on that list (with the exception of Geo Metros, which aren?t even made anymore) are something that should truly be considered "Wussy". In fact the only car that was mentioned here that I think can truly be called "Wussy" is an "Echo".

Everyone gets their opinion and you can all think what you want. I dislike the vast numbers of people who drive SUVs and Trucks in place of a Minivan, I also hate to see Honda Civics get treated like race cars. I?ve owned and driven both for a number of years so I have a pretty good idea about what both are like. These however are just my opinions and one of the great things about freedom is the ability to buy and drive whatever you want (and can afford) and the right to present your opinions. Let me make one thing clear, just because YOU THINK that a specific type of car is "Gay" or "Homo" or whatever the politically incorrect catchphrase of the week is doesn?t make it so.

Claiming that a specific car is "Homosexual" indicates 2 things:
1. That you are an expert on that specific car and know exactly how it drives and how it handles, plus all the advantages/disadvantages to owning one.
2. That you are an expert on being homosexual.
If you are not BOTH of these please don?t suggest otherwise.

I propose that rather than taking a poll (if you really want to know what is and isn?t ?Wussy?) you devise a rating scale to help determine, here are a few examples of things you could base your decisions upon:
0-60 times (both base model and modded)
horsepower (again base model and modded)
1/4 mile times (ditto)
looks (subjective)
handling
etc
etc

My 2 cents

Well written, well thought out, concise BULLSH!T.

HAHAHAHA, i can't believe you took the time to write all that stuff. It really bothers you that much that other people see your 2 cars as fagmobiles??

who did you say was insecure??

I voted for the VW Beetle. As others have said, if your car comes with a vase, it is meant for women. In keeping with DivideBYZero's idea, I drive a 95 Olds 88. I believe it has a 200 hp V6, I could be mistaken though.

I never used to like Saturns, but a little while while my car was in the shop, I had to drive a friend's saturn that he was selling. It was an older model, and a standard, and it was so much fun to drive. It felt so responsive. I loved the way the clutch felt and the way it shifted. I felt very connected with the road. If I had to buy a new car now (and price was a restriction) I'd probably buy a used Saturn. Of course if price is not a big deal, then I'd get a Porsche 911 :)

This is what I'm saying! Unfortunately, I needed to haul around 17" CRTs in boxes, so I bought a Saturn wagon. Not a midsized wagon or the VUE, but the S-series wagon. It is fun to drive, and handles just as well as the coupe. I use it to haul everything, and I have a trailer hitch to tow my jetski to the lake.

Of course no real man would get 30 miles per gallon towing a Seadoo, right? Wussy car or not, I like it.

No car is a wussy-car. Anyone who thinks that way isn't confident about themselves.

I wouldn't mind driving a Miat or any British roadster.

what i don't get is why it offends YOU so much. since you've never even seen a picture of me with it.

MINIs are sweet! I love them and want to get one eventually! I voted for the New Beetle. My gay residence hall director has one.

Totally... all those men being responsible, raising a family, and providing safe transportation for their offspring are complete wusses. Get the monster truck, cash out the college education fund to buy some big ass tires, and throw the car seat in the back.

Man, I can't believe that the Cougar is on this poll! I used to drive one of those, and it was a wonderful car! Fast, great handling, looked cool, and it had a neat little trip computer. The only bad parts about it were the poor reliability, and that it was a death trap in snow.

You should remove the Cougar on this poll, and replace it with the Toyota Corolla! Those pieces of junk are painfully underpowered, and have the most bland and generic styling that I've ever seen! They're like the Ford Escort of the new millennium!

I think he means the new Cougar...
