Let me see... LMAO. In your case I think this means "let me antagonize..." I just don't get who O is.

It's hard for me to remember since I posted this four months ago, but you might have noticed that I don't post much on the race anymore. I noticed that sharing my earnest frustration with the Democratic party and the man they nominated did seem to antagonize people, and that was never my intent.

I voted "other."

Instead of worrying about the race or gender of the person, how about finding the best qualified person...regardless of race or gender or LGBTQWTF alignment?

So... best qualified? This is a vote, aka a popularity contest. Has basically nothing to do with qualifications. Harris is fairly qualified.

What I don't understand it that its been heard that he wants a black woman. Why isn't this racist? If he said he wanted a white women, it would certainly be racist and the blacks would start a riot. But saying a black woman is not racist? Really?! Sounds like reverse racism.

there are plenty of qualified/capable people of all stripes, certainly far more so than the Orange Menace. i believe politics should represent the people at all levels and be as diverse as our nation and i hope the days of two older white dudes in the WH are over soon.

If you think a WHITE man saying he wants to pick a woman of color for his Vice President is racist, well guy, you probably don’t understand racism.

Only racists would say something like this.

MAGA
Sometimes when race is up front in the discussion (anywhere, not just here) I think of Alan Watts remark about "the difficult and thorny issue of racism." Maybe he did a talk on it, I'd love to hear that one. But I'm not aware of him "tackling" racism. I guess if you want subtle insightful treatment of America's predicament vis a vis racism you look elsewhere. Of course, there's a lot, and probably most of it from people of color, who you might say have more skin in the game. 😉

Using the color as the reason for the choice is racist. Kind of like Affirmative Action.

I don't care if Biden chooses a man or woman of color as his running mate...as long as they're well qualified...not just chosen because they might help get votes from the minority community.

do you also believe that Black History Month is racist?

Affirmative Action was a partial solution to racism, which is the opposite of racism.

Passing over more qualified applicants in favor of a less qualified one, so.ely because of their race, color, religion, etc. is not only racist, it's un-constitutional.

Keeping generations from being allowed to read, have economic freedom, or equal education needs some kind of reciprocation, no? It doesn't matter that YOU did not do this.

It is most certainly not unconstitutional.

Where do people get this nonsense?

Negotiation tactic, he starts at the extreme so you settle with him on 'it's racist, just not unconstitutional' which is where he wants you to be in the first place.

It's not even racist or sexist as there's no way you can possibly disentangle the politics of the selection from what makes someone 'qualified'. Does qualified mean 'person most capable to serve as VP and potentially president'? Sure! You have to win the election first though, so qualified also means 'will help me win'.

I like Witmer. During recent months she proved that she had the balls to stand up to Trump. Rice is probably the only candidate that can't be overly criticized, which is the problem with Harris. I wouldn't choose anyone currently serving in the Senate because of even the slightest chance that seat turns red.

Aren't there issues with Rice's handling of Benghazi? I'm sure that's why the GOP would prefer her.

Has Biden been told yet who his VP will be? Heard rumors an announcement is coming soon. Some twitter chatter and such
