I think the investigation into Jan 6 is the proper thing to do and all those that broke laws should be punished as the law dictates.

I said it already. They should have taken the deal as it was instead they turned it down and played right into vindictive Nancy's spider web and now they are stuck. As far as legitimate goes in my opinion it isn't legitimate due to the committee being practically one sided. When the Dems have a select committee where Democrats are the majority and have sole subpoena power.

The Dems should be a majority as they are the ruling party in the house, but the republicans should be represented by their choice of representatives and should also have subpoena powers.

I know it's legal, doesn't mean it is how it should be. If the shoe was on the other foot you guys would feel the same. I'm not upset by it as you want to make it seem. Life goes on and so will I...

Curious, can you post the timeline of events that led to how the current select committee came about. Please highlight all the opportunities the R leadership had to be involved in the processes of the commission and/ or the select committee, and please include all the times either house of congress had the ability to vote on the makings of said commission/committee and the lengths the R leaders went to to not make it happen/vote it down.

Save your pity part for the Rs until after you have done the above, truthfully.

I don't expect a fucktard clown who likes to lie a lot about most things like yourself to actually reply here...bur hey you might surprise everyone, especially yourself if you did.

IF... nancy pelosi is truly up to something deceptive with this investigation, then I'm with her. All that I would suggest is that Nancy wants to expose Americans and especially Trump Americans to just how dangerous Donald Trump is and can be in the future if given the chance.
And so..... if Nancy can make her case and the hearings point the finger directly and solely at Donald Trump (as it should) then the next step would be to do something to Donald Trump legally or constitutionally that would ban once and for all Donald Trump from running for any office.
Maybe Nancy can't ship Trump off to Siberia, but if the finger points to only one conclusion then maybe Nancy can be successful at blocking via some constitutional law or whatever to stop Donald Trump in his tracks. I actually think that Nancy's real goal here is to dirty Donald Trump so badly and thoroughly where Trump can never run for anything ever again. Well, not in America. The Soviet Union, maybe, but never again in America.

Odd that former and current law enforcement and military participated in the insurrection and you consider them to be inept. Is it because they failed you don’t consider it to be a failed insurrection and instead a bunch of idiots rioting?
 
I tuned into Fox and Friends just to see how they are presenting this and other current events to their peeps. Someone needs to breakdown the 7:00 hour because is an abject lesson in gaslighting, half truths, lies mixed with truth and complete avoidance of the biggest story from yesterday. I listened in on way to work but here are some cliffers...

Get people riled up because CDC is recommending mask wearing in places where delta is spreading.
Piss off parents because kids may have to wear masks in school. They found one kid with a rash behind his ear and suggested that is more dangerous then COVID.
Complain that vaccinated people may have to wear masks but failed to tell people delta is spreading because unvaccinated people are spreading.
Omit red states are the primary culprit
Pivot to the border
They demand Biden intercede and force the CDC to fully approve vaccine. However would complain if Biden overruled scientists.
Spend 10 seconds on the Jan 6 hearings only mentioning Kinzinger got emotional. Never mentioned police testimony.
Did a big segment on big city crime claiming mayors didn't support police while their network didn't cover capital police testimony and the night hosts accused them of lying.

Still wonder why their loyal viewers are brainwashed lemmings? It was an alternate reality gaslighting show

Just so we all understand, there a minimum required amount of weapons for you to consider it an insurrection? Despite the fact guns and pipe bombs were found at the scene and in the surrounding area.

Question: If this was so unplanned why would someone need to bring a pipe bomb to a peaceful rally? Don't think that required some planning?

If you search my post history I have NEVER supported violence by Antifa so your accusation has no basis in fact. However we all know the history of right wingers so willing to find any person of color guilty. Do you recall the disparate treatment between these people and the BLM protestors who were shot and gassed peacefully protesting? If black people stormed the capital threatening murder, kidnapping and beating police within an inch of their lives Trump would have had them all shot. You Fox and the righties would have been as outraged as 9/11.

In this case you had racist white people attempting an insurrection to maintain white power (assertion by the police testimony who were on the front line) recorded mid insurrection, you and others are still downplaying it. You in particular refuse to call it an insurrection. They were successful for hours until reinforcements took over.

Again, I suggest you watch the capital police testimony from yesterday. You can find links in this thread. Maybe it will give you some perspective.
 
I suppose if Pence were caught by the mob along with Pelosi and hung outside for all to see, it would not be legitimate because they were not shot instead? We should get the word out to law enforcement around the country that if a criminal charges them with a club or baseball bat to just ignore them, because they are not armed. Now I know the word "arms" in a certain context implies firearms, but we should not have to divert our attention to engaging these idiots constantly because to them it technically wasn't an "armed" insurrection.

A riot at the US capitol whereupon the rioters attempt to kidnap, injure, or kill elected representatives is precisely an insurrection attempt. Guns aren't required. Two people can easily beat someone to death, much less hundreds.

Pretending Democrats could somehow work with Republicans to get it done together is equivalent to stopping the investigation since we know Republicans refuse to work with Democrats because their base punishes them when they do.

Can you link to this new definition of insurrection you are using because I can’t find a single definition that says guns are a requirement for something to be called an insurrection.
